    All my favrouite stations have been lost and I cannot get the new Radio Player to save any stations. When I click on the Add button nothing happens.

    Saving My Stations seems to work fine in IE8 but neither in Firefox nor Chrome.

    Scratch that. If you enable third party cookies, it works.
    It’s a cookie from “cookie.radioplayer.co.uk” that has to be let through.

    Enabled 3rd party cookies, loaded up half a dozen stations - works fine.
    Then disabled 3rd party cookies and stations vanished.
    If 3rd party cookies have to be on all the time, I'd rather not bother with Radio Player thanks v.much.

    I have 3rd party cookies enabled, but am still unable to add any stations. I am using Firefox 4 with NoScript. I have enabled several sites to run scripts, but could there be some others that I have not spotted?

    Ah, I got it. Nothing to do with cookies - it's a glitch of interface design. When you click on Add, you have to then click on the "to my stations" text that appears below it.

    This is a bit of a usability failure - "to my stations" looks like a tooltip, but is in fact a *button*. The thing that *does* look look like a button - "Add" - in fact does nothing!

    I think the designer needs to learn to do some user testing before going live with a website. This small quirk of design is actually a big problem here.

    @Robin

    Discovering that they have for some reason put a "drop drown" for only one option is only the first stage, you still have to disable 3rd party cookie blocking if you have this enabled.

    Having done that, the pop-up still comes up the wrong size and reverts back to this every time you change station. You can overcome this by having a full screen pop-up (!).

    Having done that, if you stop a stream and then go back to start it again, it will refuse and you have to choose another station, start the stream on that and then change back to the station you wanted in the first place.

    Having done that you are free to listen to a stream that now hiccups every few seconds.

    Genius.

    @Robin
    Yes, clicking on the "to my stations" text does work for me.
    Thank you.

    Thanks for the tip, got it now, but this thing has definitely not been tested properly by whoever designed it, this new UK Radioplayer company presumably, who disclaim all responsibility for anything if you look at their FAQs.

    @Ivan

    This worked for me in Google Chrome:

    1. Enable third party cookies
    2. Open pop-out radio player
    3. Edit My Stations
    4. Close pop-out radio player
    5. Disable third party cookies
    6. Delete a couple of unwanted cookies that snuck through.

    No problems pausing and restarting streams, and it looks very nice as a Chrome Application Shortcut. The window always opens at the size I've resized it to.

    Don't waste any more time trying.

    This is from the BBC FAQ:
    At present, preset BBC Radio stations in iPlayer do not appear in ‘My Stations' on Radioplayer.

    Adding stations works fine for me so the system does work but some people are having problems with it.
