Firefox/IE/Chrome - WindowsVistaHomeBasic - UK - ListenLive/Certain Listen Again Programmes (Simon Mayo Talks to Cantona Friday June5th R5Live, 4.23pm, cannot get url as browsers crash as it tries to load webpage)

This has been occuring for many months now, and i have submitted a message to the 'software' section of the old message board but had no reply.

When i stream any live radio, via iplayer, using flash, my browsers crash, this has not always occurred and there doesnt appear to be anything on my computer which has instigated it.

When i stream certian play again programmes, ie mayo podcast today, but there have been others in the past i cannot recall, browsers crash also.

This looks odd - but given that it crashes on IE, Firefox and Chrome, I would suggest that the issue is with your copy of Adobe Flash Player.

I would uninstall it completely, reboot, then install the latest version of Flash Player. That should fix any issues.

It would be useful to know whether you have issues with TV as well, or whether these problems are only on radio.

Alternatively, it might actually be RealPlayer causing this (the Embedded Media Player does interact with RealPlayer, and might do so even if it's actually loading Flash).

Could I also suggest, if the above fails to work, uninstalling RealPlayer completely? If you're registered with iPlayer Labs ( www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/labs ) you won't need it for any UK national station.
