Does anyone know why Human Planet episodes have been taken down from iPlayer?

I watched most of the series, but now the latest episodes have been removed.

I've tried from various computers and internet connections, but can't find out why they are not available. The videos say 'no longer available' though underneath say there are '15 days still to watch'.

It's been like this for a few days now, and downlods don't work either.

Are they going to be enabled again before they expire?

    Thoughts would be appreciated!

    Bump.

Does anyone know why this content was removed early from iPlayer?

It's quite annoying - we pay our license fee, and Human Planet and similar documentaries are one of the few reasons we continue to pay it, yet we can't access the content we're paying for!

    Hi David,
The final episode of this was broadcast on Thursday 3rd March so the series would have expired on the Thursday 10th March.

The standard broadcast run ended on 3 Mar 2011 with episode 8/8. These episodes were (probably) series stacked so that all remained available until 7 days after the last one was broadcast in the standard run.

However at the same time but delayed by about three weeks the Sign Zone repeats with on screen signer were also being broadcast ending on 23 Mar 2011. As well as the HD repeats a few days behind the standard ending 7 Mar 2011.

I assume that you were some weeks behind following the standard run that correctly expired 10 March but also noticed the Sign Zone repeats or perhaps the HD repeats however failed to realise that they were a different broadcast strand.

Had you checked the "Available until" dates in the programmes you were watching the 10 March expiry date would have been apparent.

    Thanks for the replies.

I had checked the 'available until' date, and it was according to that date, I should have been able to view the program at the time, hence iPlayer saying 'there are 15 days still to watch'.

I guess it was just a fault with iPlayer reporting that the program was still available for 15 days when it was not.

    Cheers.
