To mirror a post on the service changes board - I also cannot play any of my downloaded and unexpired programmes.

I click to play a downloaded programme and the player switches to the now playing tab - nothing starts, just a black screen.

I haven't made any adjustments to my PC - It was working yesterday when I downloaded and watched The Real Hustle, but today the player refuses to play anything downloaded; a week ago or today.

    My Spec:
    Sony Vaio
    Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 @ 2.26 GHz
    3 GB RAM
    Vista Home Premium 32bit
    Adobe Air 1.5.1.8210
    iPlayer Desktop 1.1.2417
    Programmes download @ ~ 4MBit/s

I've tried restarting the software, then restarting the PC, and no luck. I've downloaded Friday's Eastenders while typing this, still won't play.

If I reinstall iPlayer Desktop will I lose downloaded programmes? I have some that are no longer available to download but are well within their expiration date.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I've now uninstalled and reinstalled iPlayer desktop (fresh download straight from bbc.co.uk/iplayer) and the previously downloaded programmes still refuse to play. A newly downloaded programme will also not play.

    ***PROBLEM SOLVED***

I'm guessing something corrupted my Adobe Air - I uninstalled and reinstalled (from Adobe.com) and restarted iPlayer Desktop and it all works lovely again.
