".....this is common parlance if one is a fully paid-up member of the Charlton Posse. Like all native dialogues, it should be viewed with a combination of admiration and amusement."
It would be interesting to see how many times the word AEGIS makes it in the crowd dahn the valee!
"England scraped through"
They did indeed @Jackson. Well pointed out.
"Shame on the likes of Miliband and Abbot.........Can one imagine how different the world would be if these sorry excuses for politicians where around in 1939?"
So the mighty Syrian army is going to sweep into Turkey across Europe and camp on the shores of the Channel and threaten the UK is it?
"Almost all of WW2 could have been prevented were it not for Labours policy of appeasement, even back then. They sold Poland and Czechoslovakia down the river"
Do you work for the Daily Mail?
This debate is about Syria not WW2!
Holiday in Ceuta anybody? Google it.
The last time I was in Qatar about 3 years ago I noticed dozens of football pitches laid out in the desert (like Hackney Marshes) and everybody having fun playing and watching in 50C in the shade. Good luck to FIFA I say. Not.
"Steven Moffat, the show's lead writer and executive producer, said casting Capaldi as the Doctor was an "incendiary combination".
Why, will he be the new "Sweary Doctor"?
Why should we parents have to go to all the hassle and headache of constantly policing our connections and putting up technological barriers, just so that perverts ...
Because as parents it's up to you to know what your children are doing and protect them. Or just leave them doing what they want?
Let children play on the motorway and blame bad policing when they get run over?
Moyes, talking to Sunday newspaper journalists on the club's pre-season tour in Bangkok last week, repeated Rooney was not for sale and "had a major role to play".
Sitting in the dressing room?
AM lives in the green and pleasant expanses in London's commuter belt. Just thought I'd share that with you all. North/South divide.
Mignolet will show everyone why he's the greatest goalkeeper in the world. LFC will win the Premier League and FA Cup next season. YNWA!
Now you can be unshocked!
I notice from the text above that AM only managed to reach the 2012 Quarter-final but in 2009 he got to the Quarter-finals.
Was there only one Quarter-final in 2012?
'Labour supporters and lefties and unionists'
They're probably poles apart on the political spectrum though aren't they? Or didn't you know about unionists when you posted.

1225. "The government have stolen our wealth by low interest rates and taking chunks of our pensions away..."
Er, which government is responsible, or have you forgotten who was mismanaging the country since 1997?
I don't care who's in (or was in) government my money was stolen and the current one isn't any better at looking after older people.

We have all been lived beyond our means for many years, now we have to settle our debts.
Er no we pensioners who have no debts don't live beyond our means. The government have stolen our wealth by low interest rates and taking chunks of our pensions away to pay for you.
"Andy Murray should have been knighted"
Because he's a Scot living in SE England, or because he got an Olympic gold medal?
I can't see that the Lib-Dems can do very much about their stance without breaking up with the Tories. They have always said they are in [the coalition] for the long run. So where does that leave them? Their conference needs to be frank about what they will and will not do. Otherwise they are in danger of disappearing out of sight at the next GE.
As in the gent in Kent who complained about the BBC weather forecast and the snow in his drive.
If you'd read the whole article you would probably realise your mistake.
In NE England the rains is often stotting.
Gatwick's "Emergency" runway could easily be utilised to increase capacity in the South East of England. It already has a rail and motorway link to the Capital. What a lot of people don't realise is that London is the main destination for UK tourists and landing them in Manchester or the East Midlands airports isn't going to help anybody.
The Labour (any political) party can't order employees of a private company not to go on strike. There are many laws restricting "wild cat" strikes - but I'm not sure that wild cats do strike.
As has been said there is no strike, so why the comments that the drivers should stay at work? They are!
Surely pensioners (I'll be one this year) can only survive if interest rates go up? 0.5% won't give me a living income but an increase will kill a lot of mortgage borrowers, possibly literally.
Didn't see anything about that in the budget.
Robert, before we get on to salary controls, can you explain why does the BBC have so many economic advisors? Why do Stephanie Flanders, yourself, Hugh Pym and others all report on the same subject continually? Why don't you all roll up into the same ball and give us some Licence Fee slack? Looks like a winner to me.....
As an OAP I neeed interest rates to be about 6% so I don't have to get back to the state and ask for it to pay for wages that I can't earn any more because of its age-ism policies. So looking for a massive interest rate rise soon. Bring it on!

I think you'll find America is full of Europeans and their descendents, so not quite sure what this comment means?
