Why does Torchwood still say "Coming Soon" it's now Saturday and the programme was shown on Thursday.

Did someone forget to press record?

Given that this series only has a one week shelf life on the site. Is that seven days from transmission or from when it appears on iPlayer?

So the BBC messes up and we get the finger. Nothing new there then.

Come on it's Tuesday and still nothing. You can't use the excuse of it being a bank holiday or there would be no new progs available until it was over.

Pull your fingers out and also give it seven days from appearance on iPlayer this time as it is YOUR FAULT.

I hope some of you remembered to use the contact form, the BBC does assure us that is monitored 24/7, and does still state clearly that is the method for reporting such problems.
[ see "infobox" above where we type "this FAQ on how best to report a problem with a programme. " - iplayerhelp.external... ]

But the BBC (or their agents) may well have stopped sending out auto acknowledgements to contact forms, and as we no longer have an issues list accessible to us, users do not know if the BBC is ignoring the problem, or trying to fix it.

Or maybe just believe their own message 'coming soon' and ignore all comments and contact forms.

I sent one on Saturday, John. I have received no response auto or otherwise so I would say they have stopped sending them.

At this rate it will expire before it arrives.

Reported it via the form every day John, in the hope that the FAQ suggested method would work, of course not even an auto reply so goodness knows if the formal reports arrived let alone got read and if read whether they were sent for action, and if then whether any action has been instigated, of course even then will the action be successful and in time before the 7 day limit has passed.

Oh well; reporting yet again once more, iplayerhelp.external...

They make work for themselves, it is crazy.

All it needs is someone to post a message once
    - in services updates,
    - Tv or wherever ,
-or to reply to one of the threads
    - or on the RSS,

Then at least some users will stop reporting problems because they know what is happening

and we will know they are looking into it, they could even say whether they are expected to be able to fix
the problem before the program expires..

Despite the changing of the link to "How do I report a problem with a programme, like a missing download, shortened programme, or encoding issue?" to this iplayerhelp.external... in an effort to reduce the number of reports they are still being made.

So did I at last. Same reply.

How can it take a week to sort out? It is not like they are supposed to be amateurs. Even beginners can rip a prog for file sharing so you would think they should be able to get this up on the site faster.

I just hope they own up to it being their fubar and allow it to be on iPlayer. After all it is their fault and it took them this long to pull their finger out and so it is their responsibility to make sure we get to see it.

Whether there have been technical problems or not, the rights agreement negotiated with the copyright holders will still be 7 days from broadcast.

    @Guv-nor and Guttata
Just to try and get an idea of which options work the best obn the form, which option (enquiry, comment or complaint) did you use and how long did the reply take in the end?

Would love to say which report (and when) has been replied to but having sent quite a few more than one in the last five days via both the old and new "how to report" page using just about every option I have no idea.

I will be very disappointed if the programme does not show up for download before the seven days is up but will have to accept (with considerable bad grace) the situation that rights issues dictates.

The BBC commissioned as such I would presume that they own the rights to it at least in part. This would mean to me atleast that they do have a say in this.

As to which option it was complaint and has taken five days for a reply.
