Could the BBC please advise if the problem with the iPlayer not playing on the upgraded internet channel on the Wii is being looked at. Nintendo support advises that they can't do anything about it. Thanks.

The complete silence from the BBC on this issue and the fact that none of the bbc wii iplayer pages even recognise that there is a problem is concerning. Please can you tell us what you are doing about this problem, BBC? Are you no longer going to support the iplayer for wii?

There is a growing (three pages now) thread of complaint about this in the TV section F13735683.

I note bbc issued an announcement a few minutes ago on the rss feed / faq

The latest Nintendo Wii software upgrade has caused BBC iPlayer to stop working. Users that have not upgraded can continue to use the BBC iPlayer website.

We are currently investigating and hope to resolve the issues with the BBC iPlayer website. Later this year we will be launching all-new BBC iPlayer designed specifically for the Wii.

Come on BBC, this is a bit pathetic isn't it?
You come out with all the guff about "multi-platform agnostic userability", but when it comes down to it, you leave people floundering without iplayer for over 6 weeks now!
