If you were able to schedule when downloads take place, for instance, “start downloads at 3am”. This would allow people to stack programmes for downloading when they away from their system or not needing it for other uses. I know for myself I would download a great deal more programmes if this option were available.

I agree, scheduling would be a great help. My internet connection has a limited monthly allowance, but is unmetered between 1am and 6am. I would therefore set the (large) downloads to occur at this time.

I very much agree, for both the reasons previously mentioned:
    1. Would enable downloads to be scheduled for times when one's internet bandwidth is needed for other purposes.
    2. For those with "unlimited" download volumes from their ISPs who nevertheless have a monthly quota on traffic during peak hours, downloads could be scheduled during off-peak hours.

As an extension to the ability to schedule an indiviaual download, it would be useful to be able to schedule the download of future episodes in a series (cf a podcast).
