Hi. I noticed that the new homepage now feature a link to a page displaying all the ways to get iPlayer. On the games consoles tab, it states that the PS3 is now supported. I went to the page on my PS3 yesterday and it still reckons I don't have javascript enabled. Why is the BBC saying that it works when it doesn't? I have the most up-to-date firmware on my PS3 and JS enabled.
I noticed this last night, banner link on homepage says it works on PS3, yet none of it works on the ps3. Also why are some of the radio shows now going back to using Real Player instead of the flash player.

I saw the new banner link on Thursday. Miffed that it still is not working and the BBC site says it is. Perhaps aunty was expecting the new firmware update from Sony to come out earlier

The BBC Should not be putting information on their website which is not true. As soon as I read on the website that you can play videos from the iplayer on the ps3, I was so excited untill I found that it was not true.

You can, but it's an unofficial site.

There's an even more official way to get the iPlayer working on the PS3. Simply visit the Wii version of the site;

Hi,

I can get a different interface, the one with all the large icons, but when I play a video, either nothing happens or I get a black screen with a message telling how to zoom

Is the use of the Wii interface just a stop gap, as to be honest after using it last night for 10 minutes I went back to using the ps3iplayer.com site.
The bigscreen interface is fine if you know exactly what you are looking for, but I find the lack of categories a major step backwards as I often browse radio/tv stations and find something to watch or listen to based on the Categories on the left.

Any better? do these people not have a PS3 to actually test these things on only the iplayer hasnt worked at all on the PS3 for 2 days now, where it usually says 'play in full screen' on the pictures of the programmes it just says 'play' when you press it it does nothing.
Loading the 'most popular' section just shows some blank boxed with red crosses where the pictures should be and no text so its impossible to know whats there.
Going to last played each block show half a picture and no text.
