Pronunciation of certain words

  Most media reprters/news readers pronounce the following words with the sound Z : Basra, Islamabad, islam, islamist, moslim or muslim. I would like to stress the proper pronounciation is an S sound not Z. The words Islam, Islamabad, islamist and muslim all stem from the same rout s "assalaoumou alaikoum".
  Please make the BBC take the lead in using the correct pronounciation.
