Kickstart was a brilliant TV Programme with skill and excitement and was shown between 1979 and 1988.

The show was a Motorcycle Trials programme host by Dave Lee Travis and then Peter Purves.

The competitors had to navigate a course of obstacles and recieved faults for putting feet down and not completing the obstacle. Also they were against the clock.

Junior Kickstart involving kids was also screened.

This is the type of programme the BBC should be producing now. Good wholesome Family entertainment showing skill and technical ability.

I hope iPlayer shows these episodes and I hope the Producers at the BBC show sense and start a new series of this great TV show.

And while I'm at it. Why isn't BMX shown on the BBC. You have so many channels and fill them with repeats.

I want Kickstart and BMX shown on TV, so please put my license fee to good use!!

I totaly agree, A new series of kickstart has long been over due. Anything that will get my boys of their console's and interested in outside activities is a massive plus. So BBC i think you have moral duty to help us licence payers show our kids their is more to life than celebrity shows and Games.
Kick start is a fantastic idea, please give this some serious thought.

    Hi,

afraid that this is just for suggestions for BBC iPlayer the technology, not what we offer on it, so I'm closing and archiving this as off-topic.
