I'm looking forward to the even better service we'll get from the BBC having read this:

    www.theregister.co.u...

At last there is an acknowledgement that DAB doesn't necessarily rule.

Most interesting is that iPlayer users listen to radio on an average of 163 minutes/month and watch TV for 64 minutes.

Hopefully we'll see the powers that be realign the focus of the BBC's digital platform soon.

    Hi Joe

I'm looking forward to the even better service we'll get from the BBC having read this:

smiley - sadface The result will probably be the BBC plans get thrown into disarray, with endless consultation and planning sessions and a cessation in any progress & investment on current projects.

The BBC help and support system is not too good when it comes to the Radio side of things either, something highlighted in the article from the Register and that you yourself will have noticed.

( I was looking for a post I made after the BBC removed some internet radio faqs, and came across a thread you had posted in: www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mb... )

Must say I am a bit disapointed with DAB in the UK.
I have a kitchen DAB radio & reception has got worse not better, I had expected with BBC investment signal strength would improve in all areas of the UK, and probably that the BBC had decided to go digital phasing out fm analogue radio, and hopefully bringing in an improved DAB system.

I must say I am not sure what the BBC plans are at present regarding digital radio.
I am certainly not throwing out my FM HiFi receivers.

    John
