Radio 3 is now received live loud and clear in Finland!

Thank you ALL for solving the problem.

On a sunny southern California morning, the Radio 3 sound quality is excellent.
    Thanks!

Presumably you are aware this messageboard shuts down each night at 10pm UK time

The board was offline last night for a couple of hours after closing. The server busy message kept appearing for the duration of this. Not sure whether this is the case or not (but I think I've seen it happen before), as Alan's a member of BBC staff, I think he may well be able to post whenever he wants whether the board's open or closed.

I concur. I live in Northern California and after years of radio 3 live and beautiful, it sounds as though it's miles under water. I have tested all the usual things. I can hear World Service and Radio 4 live very well. It just seems to be Radio 3. Please, BBC, check it out. The problem must be on your end.

    Hi Beth,
This time BBC seems to be blaming distortion on an intermitent encoder flaw.
    - Recent posts in this thread suggest problem resolved.
    - BBC state their monitoring will not mecessarily detect distortion
    - And BBC advise contact form should be used to report problems, in addition to posting on this messageboard.

I suggest it may be worthwhile to use a contact form.
