iplayer download complete - still nothing

  I have a Mac working on wifi and have been trying to set up iPlayer Desktop so that I can listen to the World service newshour. When I select that service, nothing, not even a spinning circle. I have explored all the relevant FAQ's uninstalled and reinstalled about 3 times. I have checked my security settings and enabled iBBC through the firewall. I am at a loss at what to do next. I have Adobe Air and it should work however, zero, zilch, nothing. Grateful for your advice.
