Since Wednesday this week, I've been unable to download any programmes. Whatever programme/format I choose, I get a licence retrieval error like the above.
    Any ideas, anyone ?

    Hi tigmar,
Please can you give us some examples for others to test?

It sounds like your firewall is possibly blocking iPlayer so that it can't work properly.

I'm sorry but I don't quite understand what you mean.
When I try to download any programme in either format (i.e. for Media Player or portable devices) so that I haven't got to watch it on pc, I get the licence retrieval error.

Also, I have tried adding exceptions to my firewall and I've turned it off - with no effect.
Also I've ensured that in Media Player(10) it is set to acquire licences for protected content automatically.

Do you get this error when you try to download to iPlayer Desktop as well?

When you say since Wednesday, do you mean that any content added since Wednesday doesn't work but older content does or do you mean on Wednesday you found that you couldn't download any programmes?

Please can you give some examples of programmes that aren't working for you?
