And several other programmes from Thursday night - is this the same problem with the system which was 'resolved' yesterday?

    Hi Isaac David,

Yes you're right this is part of the problem which was "resolved".

We believed we had remedied the issue and we were seeing missing downloads appear on to iPlayer. However, this unfortunately didn't last long and delivery has stopped again.

The tech guys are working flat out and they hope to have the problem resolved ASAP.

    Thanks

I just hope ASAP means 'before the programmes expire.'

If you are referring to episode 10, this expires on the 26th Jan so Iím sure it would be far in advance of this.

First we need to get delivery started again and then it is a case of catching up with the backlog.

I was referring to all the programmes missed last night, as well as Stargazing LIVE (SL) and the other programmes from Wednesday night, but since SL is now available to download, I feel more hopeful about the rest.

    Hi Isaac David,
Where did you find out that there was a known issue and that it was resolved yesterday?

    @Aaron
Please can you make an official service update about this and possibly add an announcement to the FAQ's.

It would help to reassure those people who are asking about it that it is a known issue and that you are working on it.

Matt: I think that "resolution" refers to this post:

    Hi Matt

Squirrel is right (thanks for pointing that out), the 'resolution' of the known issue was given in answer to my question on Wednesday's edition of Stargazing LIVE.

Unfortunatly it does seem to be another one of those "iPlayer resolution" situations that does not FIX THE PROBLEM <grr>

I have a list of half a dozen programmes I cannot download and yet have downloaded others from the last three days, it looks fairly random!

I shall have to start filling out a "Contact Us form" for each programme. I can only hope that will prompt a manual re-transcoding...

Have completed a contact us form for Episode 10 and it did complete to the "Thank you..." page - eventually!

I still don't think anyone is at the other end who can be bothered...

Not sure whether it might be worth phoning the Audience Services/Complaints number tomorrow and speaking to a real person.
