    Hi,
I have the current iplayer desktop installed with AIR 1.5.1 under WIndows 7 beta (x64).

Whilst the app installed ok, in the settings window all fields are empty (ie space allocated, the location etc). Whilst the checkboxes can be ticked the cancel/save checkboxes are inoperative.

I've reinstalled air & desktop a number of times but consistently get this behaviour.

I've got the same combo working just fine on a Vista x64 system, and on a Linux (fedora) system. I've also got another air app (tweet deck) working fine.
Prior to the latest updates (of air & desktop) it was working ...

    Any ideas?

Windows 7 is probably not supported at the moment by iPlayer Desktop. This might be why you're having problems. XP, Vista, Mac and Linux are all supported.

Have you tried running in compatiplity mode with Vista. Try right clicking icon from desktop -> Properties -> Compatability -> Run this program in compatibility mode for...

    Failing that, Look at www.intowindows.com/...

Might be some tips there about what you may need to update in order to gain functionality.

    I've tried compatability settings.

INterestingly this was working (on windows 7), and additionally I did have this problem at one point on my linux box (where a reinstall fixed it .. not here), so I'd be fairly sure this isn't a W7 issue, but rather a more general setup/environment issue

Does anyone know where any log files etc may be or debug flags to identify the issue...

Don't modify any setting for compatibility. I think that if you uninstall air and all air apps you will be able to use iplayer desktop after reinstalling everything. This is a known issue where iplayer stops working after updates when you also have other air apps installed. For now you must uninstall and reinstall but the iplayer team are working to fix this. When desktop comes out of beta (and labs) and into mainstream this will be corrected.
