Many people are against gay married due to religion, however many gay people do not belong to a religion in the first place, so why are they still being disliked?

I dont know about other religions, but Islam is against homosexuality. This is because you choose to be gay, due to complications in teenagers or just society. Maybe it is because you cant find someone of the opposite gender to go out with. Everyone is born straight. Think about it, if loads of people were gay, then the population would decrease rapidly.
