Ask your teacher how to answer each type of question. Sometimes you have to write an intro etc!

I think it is very important to keep your answer short in knowledge & understanding questions i.e. stating pure facts that don't require answers. But you should make sure that these short answers are of high quality.
As for the more complicated analysis and evaluation questions, it is essential to refer to two points of view to the matter at hand e.g. how Christians would respond to evolution and how scientists would respond to evolution. And, more prominently, you should keep on referring back to the question with every point you make.
