I've been a member of these boards for several years, and even though I didn't post much, I have spent many happy hours reading the posts.
I've learned so much from all the advice which so many generous and very knowledgeable people gave here.
Thanks to everyone who made these boards some of the best on the web.
Hope to see most of you in future on the GW boards, or somewhere else.
Thanks everybody, and goodbye!

CrispBedsore!!! That poor man, I hope he never gets to see what you have done to his noble name. Farewell to you on here, I am happy in the knowledge that the beardybums live on elsewhere. Not covered in beej's snot, either.
It's a sad day though. It must be how people felt when they pulled down all the slums in London - it may be a hovel, but it's OUR hovel!

Just checking in for a last goodbye.
I wonder how the thread titles list will end up, at the moment of posting we have:
What's the weather like in December in your garden
Brian Harvey at Chelsea(in) Monty dons weatherproof jacket.
Sums it up, really!
