OK, so we all know about the changes on Monday (I hope).

Yay! At last, the threads work!

    Name: Sioned

    Age: 13

    Year at school: Year 8

Experience of writing: Not so much, to be honest. I've loved writing all my life, though. And reading, of course. I have failed two novels, and I am on my third which I am very close to completing!
How long on Blast: A few months

Best story/poem that I remember: An ymson on Branwen. No, I know that doesn't make any sense at all. It's a piece on a famous Welsh heroine from mythology. It's also in Welsh, obviously. (Ymson is a Welsh word for a kind of account, looking back on the past)

    Country: Wales
Likes: Walking in the country, cycling, reading, writing, painting, sketching, ancient history, and so the list goes on. And, of course I'd have to mention Blast.
Dislikes: Too much make-up, big cities, exams, crime thrillers, getting cold at night in winter, and olives.

Book you couldn't put down: The Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale and The Lady in the Tower by Marie Louise Jensen

    Name: Scarlett

    Age: 16

Year at school: 11. Exams. That is all.

Experience of writing: I sort of first started when I was 7 with this incredibly cute story called 'Jenny and the Wolves'. So . . . experience . . . good?

How long have you been on Blast: About . . . 5 days? At the most.

Your best story/poem that you remember: Is this of my own, or Blast? Of my own, I'd have to say a story that Laura (my previously mentioned best friend - and no, I wouldn't figuratively 'kill' you if you didn't say my story, Laura m'dear) and I have been working on together called 'Elementals'. It's the closest one to finished that I have. Sorry, Hina :S but we have been working on it since year 9. On Blast, I must admit that I like 'Burgess Hill'. Well done, Ellen.

Country: England. Northumberland, if you want to be picky.

Likes: Spending time with my friends, writing (of course), sun, holidays and weekends, lie ins, CHOCOLATE, good songs . . . I could go on for days.

Dislikes: Chavs (tee hee, I used to be one), most of school, homework, exams, jellyfish, dying (not that I've had much experience of that, thankfully), people who think they're God's gift to mankind . . . I've got another long list, but surprisingly it doesn't include spiders.

Book you couldn't put down: There are lots of them, trust me. I'm an avid reader, and manage to read incredibly long books in a few hours. Laura can back me up on this.

I think we should. That way other Blasties over there can contribute too, and there will be a lasting memorial of us over there. And I was thinking . . . how about the Blasties have a thread which we all write on, say every week, and we say what stories/poems we've been doing, so other people can keep track of them amidst all the GCSE problems. Is that a good idea, or just not?

And it's not Blastites vs Bitesizers and anyway why can't someone be both? Anyone can post on blast, that's what I like about this place, there's no such thing as a blast newbie, you come on, you post, you have fun. There's no newbie statuses like the old people vs the new arrivals. Nothing like that...

Or at least in my opinion there isn't. Blast is for everyone, as I hope Bitesize is.

Whenever I make a comment about this it gets banned. I just can't stand him. I tried to read Northern Lights, but I found the whole Gyptians thing really cliched. Especially the part where 'oh hey presto the lord that she thought was nothing to do with her, is actually her father...and oh the baddie woman is actually her mother too..though if this turns out to be an untruth at the end of the novel or whatever...I apologise, but I just can't read his writing, without thinking 'grrr'

It's funny because a lot of stuff that I would consider perhaps offensive gets posted on the RS board over there, but I suppose you can mask all sorts in the name of debate.

Too true, Kim. I've unfotunately got a bit worked up over there and done a bit of 'bible-bashing' - or so I thought. Then I read other things and thought: Dude, the point is not to convince me that your god posseses people, the point is whether we need a god or not. I suppose it all runs away with us somewhere. There would be no debate if we were all confined to rational thinking.
