I've been looking for any clubs relating to manga and anime. So far, none. There's also only ONE anime convention here in Scotland. Why can't we have more? Do you know a club relating to anime and manga?

It's the same here in Wales.

In 2007, in Wrexham, there was only a small convention by Tokyopop in Waterstone's and that only lasted one night.Sheesh...(!) good convention though!

This may not have anything to do with this subject, but the only way you can get some artistic status nowadays in on the internet. Either that or be drawing at the right place at the right time. I know of a friend, who knew this student, who drew a sketch generally for her own enjoyment and then was given £200 for it, by a passer-by! CRAZY!

Some of my work is on Facebook, but I doubt any wealthy art critic is going to join up to that and look at a student's artwork anytime soon.

Well at the moment anime and manga is considered small scale because its only recently hit our shelves in mass but its begining to grow so more and more things will crop up in the near future. I recently went to the London Anime Expo and its attracting record numbers of people, so basically its a sit and wait for it to expand.
