feedback just called!

  • forkliftlady on Wednesday, 13th February 2013

They want to ask me about the complaint I posted to them about board closure. Got 10 mins to prepare before they call again. Hope I don't let us down!

Marvellous, I posted a message to their site myself so they know there are many of us who would like a reprieve.

Best of luck...sock it to em!

Oh good, I didn't leave my phone number, just wanted to add my comment to the pool.

Feedback's piece on the board closure will be on this Friday at 4.30 with a repeat on Sunday at 8pm. You may also hear me talking about how the message board works and the community here. I'll be listening from behind the sofa at that point! ; )

Just done it. Apparently they are calling a selection of people who sent in complaints, so some other MLers may need to get ready too! From what I gather they are going to put some of our comments to the powers that be in TA this afternoon (possibly our new fave Mr. Smith??) and will then edit various bits, so you may hear me or may not. I don't think I have the voice for radio, a bit of a Midlands twang (I'm the lady from Leamington if I do get an airing). Oh well, it has at least given me the first and possibly the last chance to start a post. The researcher did say that they had had a massive response to this. So let's see what happens - usual platitudes from the production team? Or what do you think?

It's nice to know that we'll be represented!

Please let us know how it went, both of you.

  • Message 14. Posted by wildwomanwonga on Wednesday, 13th February 2013 permalink

    Looking forward to it!

  • Message 15. Posted by Scarlett the Harlot on Wednesday, 13th February 2013 permalink

    Thank you Tayler.

I get the distinct impression that you are behind us all the way on keeping the Messageboards open but I am sure that you would have to kill me if you answered that question honestly so I do not expect a response!

I heart you regardless you are a fabulous host and I really really hope that we win this fight and you can stay on as the moderator!

Squire is going to a studio in Brighton this afternoon to 'discuss' with Nigel Smith.

Oh heh! I had just sent my comment to feedback (meant to do it yesterday but got distracted by the other places and people Iw as writing to) and came back to the board to find this thread at the top of the page!

Ms Tayler, I can't say I blame you; whatever you say there will be some here who criticise it. If people are signing on just to say how glad they are that this horrible place is going to be closed, it's for sure that there is none so queer as folk.

I wonder when Nigel is going to post his promised response to all the queries

He did say Wednesday - but of course he did not say *which* Wednesday.

    Loved your Bully Boys Club
Sadly board rules prevent me from listing the words I would use for DTA annihilation twonks.

It involves oaths, questionable parentage, and a reference best thought of as two gardeners discussing 'apricocks' and certain matters in Richard II.
(The Richard who may have suffered from anorexia, and was not buried under a Leicester car park after his murder.)

    Good morning, Forkers,

yes, I am to be in Brighton, as I could not get to the London studio, this afternoon for a discussion with Nigel the axeman, yer man from Feedback and a woman listener who will also be on.

The recording is for 20 minutes although I do not know how much of that will ever be given air-time.

Go for it Squire, I am sure you will be able to put forward muchbetter constructed arguments than I did. I would have liked more time to mull over things, hindisght is a wonderful thing. GIve Nige what for says Forkers! Let us know later?

  • Message 30. Posted by SteveKills on Wednesday, 13th February 2013 permalink

I will give it a go, Biners. What I cannot understand is why no discussion was held with some kind of focus group beforehand. It is now a case of 'We've made our decision, now you lot can say something.' Arrogant and unfeeling, but hey, that is the way the BBC always strikes me.

  • Message 31. Posted by binocular on Wednesday, 13th February 2013 permalink

Squire. I will miss this message board so much. Just like all the others. I still can't believe it's going to happen.

Indeed, a great big thank you to all who are pitching on to spread the word that we want to keep the massage boards alive! And Tayler - no need to hide behind the sofa, we all love you to bits, you're safe from flying tomatoes and eggshells. I respect the work you do immensely -we are a feisty lot and can be.. Errr.. challenging sometimes, but you do a great job dealing with us.
