New Wolves manager Mick McCarthy says that veteran midfielder Paul Ince will not be returning to Molineux.

How much will Wolves miss him next season? Who will replace him? Lee Carsley is one name that has been mentioned. Would you like to see Carsley at Molineux?

What now for Ince? Would you want your team to sign him as player or will he be looking for a coach/manager position? Your views please....

Sad to see Incey leave, but good things must come to an end.

Would just like to say a HUGE HUGE thanks for what Incey done, I think if we hadnt signed him we would never have got to the premiership!

This posting has been hidden during moderation because it broke the House Rules in some way.

I simply want to thank Paul for all that he has done for Wolves. He has been absolutely magnificent for us, an absolute legend. I for one will remember his time at Molineux with great fondness. If everyone else had shown the same passion, commitment, desire and ability as the Guv'nor, we'd still be in the Premiership. All good things come to an end (as we will remember on Saturday with Bully's testimonial) but today is a day tinged with sadness. Thank you, Incey, good luck for the future.

I will ehco those sentiments, Ince is a legend at the wolves, for those years he got us up and the midfield dogs of war he formed with Alex rae was something I will remember for a long time.

I dont blame him for going and if he is playing for another championship and comes to Moli I am sure he will get a rousing reception and he fully deserves it.

But life goes on and hopefully we can replace him with another hardcore midfield general!

Has anyone seen this Jay Bothroyd, is he any good?

This is how Wolverhamption thank him.

They lead hInce on about the managers vacancy then give it to Mick who has only had a 40% win rate in club football.

Did they offer Ince a trainee coaches role or did they just kick him out.

Pathetic.

OK Wolves led the media on thus leading Ince on.

I recon Ince would have been better than Mick without any experience

Ince is gone, lets move on, I aint happy with Ince leaving as much as the next wolves fan but there is no point in banging on about this subject of Wolves leading him on, they have made their decision end of!

I am sure wolves fans will vent there fury at the board is things dont go well on the pitch, I for one will be!

Once Merlin had been installed the writing was on the wall. And im sorry to say if we were pinning our hopes on him staying as a player at his ripe old age then we were scraping the barrel. It is more than likely that he would have only played half or less of the games meaning we would be chopping and changing when the likes of Reading last season showed that a more settled team is likely to gel and perform.

He was a massive influence, but, as someone else has said so was Bull but life goes on.

Im sure he will come back and haunt us like every other player does!

How unlike ince to have a parting shot, most out of character, not as if he's got a chip on the shoulder or annything. I say good riddance to scum.

Robson has signed him before, could do with an extra pair of hands with the coaching, would offer useful experience for our younger players and could still be a useful player for us on the park (in the CC anyway).

Ince to Albion - that'd be funny.

As a Wolves fan I am glad he is leaving! He has been a great servant over the past 4 years but if we are relying on a 38 year old to be the drive in our team then there is something seriously wrong!

It seems to me it is a case of him throwing he toys out of the pram becasue he didn't get the managers job!

He has lost the hunger for Wolves and so he should move on! Another 'old crew' member has departed - hooray!
