Fantastic. Hope he signs. Toure and Gallas would be a fantastic partnership.

Wasn't Gallas not happy about playin out of position at leftback?

If that's the case I can't see why he'd go to Arsenal and play as a leftback, or is AW plannin on bringin another leftback in and usin Gallas in Central Defence?

A toure/Gallas partnership would arguably be the best pairing in the EPL. Both are better than Carvalho but both a little behind Terry.

We need Gallas more than we need Cole.

A straight swap plus a few boots up the backside to Cole on the way out will do...

Arsenal have Gael Clichy who is awesome. It seems non Arsenal fans forgot about his great form 3 years ago when he made over 20 appearances and became the youngest ever player to get an EPL winners medal. He played better than cole that year going forward, but wasn't as solid defenseivly.

Chelsea would be stupid to do that, they have enough money that they can stick Gallas in the reserves until the end of his contract and pay well over the odds for Cole.

Yeah, I did forget about him.. For some stupid reason I thought Cole leavin would leave you short <doh>

Might still be worth while bringin in another for cover though

Gallas/Toure would be a pretty formidable pairing

clichy is all good and imo will be a better player than cole is. and with troare, hoyte and flamini as back up i cant see gallas spending too much time on the left. would be a good deal for everyone....

Gallas is a better defender then John Terry, the only reason Terry gets the headlines is because he is mr chelsea.

But in terms of actually ability then gallas is the better player/defender.
