Blatant penalty not awarded to Rovers in first half, 2 sendings off, Todd's possibly dodgy - nice to see the refs bias against Rovers still continuing. Finished 9 men to 14, 15 if you count the assistant ref.

Great result for Pompey and top of the Premiership at the moment on goal difference!
Just seen the Todd dismissal - looked a bit unlucky to be honest as he seemed to touch the ball first so I suppose justice was done with Kanu missing the penalty.
What's your reaction on the opening match of the season?

just a quick note before i leave. My reaction? hmm well i thought we were the best team by far and should have come out on top. we got stuck in there and had many chances on goal. We were unlucky by the 2 sendings off and obviously the ref had been paid to carry out the order. Its unfortunate that we let in the 3 goals as they were all obviously offside and they didn't deserve them at all. Thats my fergie reaction... what do you think NO seriously we were terrible. Abismal is the word. The team should apologise to the fans for such a rubbish match.

Hi Blue All Over - not sure to be honest - the general idea is for the reports to be up on the site as soon as the final whistle goes - I'm sure it's probably just going through the uploading system at the moment.

does anyone else think that as a manager mark hughes is overrated? i dont think rovers will do that well this season, he has strenghened the attack but he has not even looked at the other outfield positions, its a joke, andy todd isnt even good enough to be a first team player yet hes the captain! its going to be a long hard season for rovers and i can forsee a relegation struggle! i used to have a season ticket but gave it up after watching absolute drivvel season after season!

Well done Portsmouth. Harrys' team have shown what they can do. Surprised by the scoreline that they managed to get three past Blackburn. I don't think many teams will get three against them again this season. Portsmouth one of the most entertaining sides to watch in the Premiership? I would say so.

footy analysis, i think alot of teams will get a few against them this season because apart from freidel and nelsen, their defence is their achiles heel, gray, very average full back, naive defensively, neil, in my opinion totally overrated, cant tackle, very rash and todd, how he is in the first team, let alone captain is beyond me, i'll never know! as for rovers' backup players, if their first choice defence is that bad then the backup players must be diabolical!!!

Lucas Neil is filthy dirty piece of work. Dirty player, dirty club.

Im ashamed of that display, that was a disgrace to the club, Todd and Neill acted like a pair of amateurs but their dismissals is no excuse for that scoreline.
Pompy were by far the better side altogh apparently we had more possession. Im at a loss to explain the showing, the only heart i can take is that we lost 3-1 to West Ham last year.
Well done Pompy, totally deserved.

Thank you for showing us all why most right thinking fans would love to see Blackburn relegated. Still, I am not sure the teams in the Championship deserve exposure to Savage Neil et al. My concern today was not whether we would win or lose but how many damaged players we would end up with. The result is a real, and deserved, bonus.

Worst post today. Not a Blackburn fan but have a soft spot for them. Shame about fans who can't lose a match with a bit of dignity.
