How did Gerrard dive?
He stayed on his feet and then shot and lost balance.
It wasnt a pen the ref got it wrong.
You cant say that was a dive.

I'm a Man U fan - and I thought it was a penalty. If there was no tackle Gerrard would not have lost his balance. He might not have scored but he would have had a better opportunity.
My hope is that there is consistency this season

You are replying to: Message posted by roonaldaha GERRARD STAYED ON HIS FEET AND SHOT...so was it so windy that he decided to fall over after he shot knowing it was a crap shot...and then appeal for the penalty. I hope when we play Poo, Ronaldo dives under a challenge from Gerrard to earn a penalty which we score as the only goal and win the match. Quoted from
this message
Typical manc hoping his team cheats to gain victory. Gerrard broke through avoided a reckles lunge and was off balance with the ball close to his feet. He shot whilst off balance with his weaker foot and eventually lost his balnce. He did not appeal for a penalty either.

This is unbelievable it really is. He was stumbling before he shot so when he did shoot he lost his balanced. If the challenge hadn't of come in then he would of scored. I understand what the ref is saying because a reckless challenge cost Liverpool a goal scoring oppurtunity.

liverpool's first mistake was letting Fowler start the game
second mistake was diving to win a penalty against a hard-working Sheffield United team
the 1st penalty of the Premiership and it was a dive, doesnt exactly look great for English Football

All these comments about Alan Green and then about how bad he is. If you didnt watch the game how can you actually make a comment. Sheffield offered nothing except the goal itself but packed the midfield and defence. We got lucky in the second half with the pen, but then how come the challenge on Riise in the first half wasnt when it was feared he'd broken his ankle. A draw was about right because we played badly. We'll improve - I mean we were missing three of our regular back four (given after 30 mins Carra and Riise were injured). Plus Alonso didnt play who is arguably our most important player.
But if many teams come away from Brammall lane with all three points I'll be very surprised. They are a difficult team to beat at home.
Amazingly I watched match on Sky whilst listening to 5 live, am I allowed an opinion now you MUPP3T

Zenden was worse .... a lot worse. Liverpool missed Alonso's passing and composure today.

Benitez was wrong with the team selection. Fowler should go, he´s too slow to keep playing. Kromkamp is pure crap.

The scousers? You have to laugh at them haven't you,it took another dive from the cheating Gerrard to scrape a draw against the Sheffield Utd. Be looky to finish in the top 6.

Alan Green is the best commentator in football. Full stop. I don't agree with everything he says, but his commentary is always intelligent and controversial. What's not to like? Just because you don't agree with some of the stuff he says. At least he doesn't spout out factual inaccuracies like most other commentators.

We were able to beat Chelsea with Alonso, Gerrard and Bellamy on the bench for most of the game so we won't have much trouble beating Sheff Utd.
Rafa Benitez has made Liverpool into having a very strong squad unlike last season when we had a good 11 but that was about it.
3-0 to Liverpool, Mark Gonzalez brace and a Crouchinho goal.
We will be with full of confidence after beating Chelsea so I think its unlikely you'll be able to get anything out of this game
now its the time to laugh at the deluded scousers saying how much they were going to win

We make too much of an issue out of diving or what we think is a dive. If the exact same thing happened in any other league in the world, nobody would care.
