Those prawn sandwiches are going to cost about £25 a shot to pay for the over-the-odds players you're getting in!
Thank God you're not £660m in debt, otherwise you could be in deep doo-doo.
Hang on a minute...

A lot of teams publically deny something when privately they have said something different. If United have spoken to Hargreaves, which is how he made it sound, it means that Bayern have already accepted an offer. Otherwise it would be and illegal approach.
Bayern are just trying to publically reassure their fans that they are not about to lose yet another class midfielder, when in fact it seems quite likely that they are going to.

this isn't a done deal - but a player wouldn't go to press with that if he didn't have his mind set. bayern can't hold out on a player whose determined to leave, and bayern must be letting him go if they've let him talk to Man U. i just photoshopped BBC SPORT page with "Adriano and Hargeaves set to sign long terms deals with Man Utd" should see my work mate pissing his pants in excitement... leaving work now see if he finds out tomorrow

Not sure if i have the rules 100% here but if bayern are saying there is no way they would sell then surely they wouldnt have given permission for hargreaves to speak to utd.So how does he know that it was a fantastic offer from united?
Surely bayern wouldnt have said,we're not going to sell you but Manchester United have offered this great deal for you.
Am i missing something or is that possibly a little tap tap tapping noise i hear?

Yeah, Ronny said he would only come to Ununited because we are the mighty Carling cup holders. He said he would never go to Liverpool because they have never won the league. Then he said it would be his dream to play along side the embodyment of sportsmanship and fairplay that is Ronaldo (no, not that one). See the interview here: news.bbc.co.uk/olmed...

Wasting the transfer budget on a Hargreaves rather than on a top Internationally reknowned striker is plain daft -------------------------------- If you can think of a top Internationally renowned striker that you could get for about £15 million then I'm sure fergie would think about it.
But toni -cost more than £20mill and is 30. Torres - cost closer to £30 mil Teves- cost over £20 mil Adriano - Cost over £25mil Villa - Maybe but just another forlan?! Ronaldo - too fat Raul - Never leave RM Tresegue (sp?) - Is he that good that he'd be much of an improvement on Saha?
Not everyone is avaliable. There aren't any Internationl Strikers available - that why liverpool ended up with bellamy. Quoted from
this message
Some of those strikers could easily cost around £15 million. And seeing as Torres was Sir Alex's no.1 target, I think its safe to assume he was willing to spend over £20 million on him but he's just not interested at this moment in time. So a £20 million budget on strikers and yet United can't find anyone good enough to replace RVN? Wake up. And some of your comments on those strikers are laughable. Ronaldo - too fat Still a regular main goalscorer and would be infinitely better than Solskjaer and Rossi who'll barely score 10 goals between them..

I'm confused!!! Hargreves said he's considering an offer from Utd, which means Bayern have accepted a transfer fee. Now the top guy at Bayern says he's going nowhere.
Are clubs allowed to talk to a player before a transfer fee is agreed as long as the parent club know about it?
(I know this is not a case of tapping up as Bayern knew man utd were in talks with OH)

Please stop all this - Bayern will not sell, they have already said so. ----------------------------------------------------------------
Agree. It would be like Liverpool selling Gerrard. Won't happen. They see Hargreaves play every week and know his worth, even if many of you do not. He's an even bigger fan favorite post-WC and there would be a revolt by the Bayern supporters. It would take a ridiculous bid to pry him lose. It helps that he wants to come to the Prem, but I really don't think this is Bayern negotiaing. They won't sell.

Man U better sign someone and Hargreaves is there best option left with the clock ticking..better would have been to sign Gattuso to back up Carrick ....However better a poor mans Gattuso than none at all.

it would be even better for Hargreaves if he joined United. Bayerm Munich is not being wise about holding him back. He may lack morality in that case.

Not really, we've just got a nice, settled and almost complete squad that's more than capable of challenging for the top honours in the game this coming season. It's just fun to watch the desperate scrabbling around for last-minute hole-fillers, and to read the head-in-the-sand comments from some of the more knuckle-dragging contingent. Plus, there's no Liverpool threads kicking around, apart from the usual Gerrard/Lampard rubbish. Admit it, you love me really.

This all sounds very fishy - if Hargreaves has said publicly that he has received an offer from Man United and now Bayern are saying that they have not accepted any such offer, then Man U are guilty of tapping up - and as such should expect a hefty fine!

I don't expect him to go. Man U turned down numerous offers from Bayern over RVN - who they eventually lost to Real Madrid. Why should Bayern except an offer from Man U after that? Particularly after there other star midfielder has left.
