Your thoughts on Milan Mandaric and what he's done for Portsmouth. What are your abiding memories of his reign?

This posting has been hidden during moderation because it broke the House Rules in some way.

"His hilarious managerial appointments."

The ones that took a bottom 5 Nationwide league team to an established Premiership club? <erm>

Milan, credit where credits due. Think he should give himself a big pat on the back, without Milan we wouldn't have the Premiership status, the best English manager in the league and our now new found fortune. He has had his moments tho but hopefully he will be remembered for his achievements with the club. Onwards and upwards!

Mandaric has been a legend for pompey. if you are a pompey fan, or support another team but are able to open your eyes and pull your head out of your own backside long enough to look around....it is evident that the acheievement of taking a poor div1 club to an established prem side now with financial backing second only maybe to spurs and chelsea (seeing as Man Utd are technically in massive debt now). And as everyone points out...we have the worst ground in the league. But we still managed it.

There is only one milan, and it aint in italy

No Mandaric - no Pompey. A succession of local businessmen failed to build on the excellent fan base in Portsmouth, bankrupted the club and took it nowhere until an American emigre from Eastern Europe came along and put us on the map.

That is why fans didn't turn on Milan when his antics with the management structure persuaded Harry to leave first time round. Pompey fans under the age of 60 owe him everything.

Then which? Inter or AC? Personally i think Mandaric could have done a much better job if it wasn't for his Idiotic Managerial appointments, Pompey could have moved forward even faster if it wasn't for his Decision to bring in the Genious that was Valmir Zajic as a Director of football, even though one wasn't needed when Harry was doing a super job. Mandaric is a bit of a ponce, stubborn and arrogant. Don't like the man at all.

He took us from the depths in 1998 to where we are today. Promoted to the Premiership in 2003 and still there. I can't complain with what he's done - just a shame that he didn't stay to see the new ground built which is what he said he would do barely 3 months ago.

More to the point when are the individual club boards coming back ;)

Sorry but where did i mention anything about Rednknapp been an idiotic appointment? Please read carefully more carefully in future. I'm talking about the likes Of Perrin and Zajic. You wouldn't be talking to highly of Mandaric if you'd have been relegated last season because of Mandaric hiring Perrin. I'm sure.

well u didnt actually specify which particular managerial appointments! and also, we wouldnt have sacha investing the money if it wasnt for milan attracting him to the club, so that in itself is a major thing that he has done.....

he's had his good times and his bad times, but it was definitey time to move on, good luck to him, despite zajec and all that rollocks.

however, the new chairman, something about him that doesn't quite ring true, there's something of the night about him...

As a Pompey fan, I can't thank Milan enough for what he has done with the club. He will forever be a legend down here. Unfortunately, there are idiots who don't see the time and money he put into us. I wish him well in whatever he does.
