The historic city of Kaiserslautern is located in the middle of the Palatinate Forest. Very much a football city, its stadium is named after West Germany's 1954 World Cup winning-captain Fritz Walter who played for Kaiserslautern throughout his career. Have you visited the city before, or perhaps the stadium itself? Or are you planning to watch Australia v Japan, or any of the other World Cup games there? news.bbc.co.uk/sport...Whether you want to share your memories of previous trips, get hints and tips for finding your way around, or post your views on the distinctive old stadium, this is the place to do it.

I hope the people in Germany remembered to look on this thread whilst over there and use this as their guide, otherwise it would mean this section is rather pointles.....

Pointless? Pointless! How can you say such a rude thing about these wonderful city guides which have had all of us football fans mesmerised over the last few weeks? Why, they're so good they're thinking of putting them in a museum once the WC is over!

I only said they'd be pointless if no one read them whilst they were over there in Germany.
Umm, and the response has been astounding.
