Henry cheated. I felt sorry for the poor commentator. After the replay of Henry's Oscar performance, the poor fellow did not know what to say. After all, these disgusting cheats pay his wages. After this tournament, I will never watch/support another professional sporting event again. I refuse to waste my hard earned money on this abomination called professional football/soccer. Its not just Henry, its many of them, very many.

Henry did cheat.
Matters to me only because I had money on France and fortunately the ref failed to see it.
I'm not going to deny the fact Henry is a cheat:
(and a choker:
1998 FA Cup v Newcastle - 0 1998 World Cup Final v Brazil - 0 2000 UEFA Cup v Galatasaray - 0 2000 European championship final v Italy - 0 2001 FA Cup v Liverpool - 0 2002 FA Cup v Chelsea - 0 2002 World Cup (group stage) - 0 2003 FA Cup v Southampton - 0 2005 FA Cup v Man United - 0 2006 Champs League v Barcelona - 0)
but he did what was par for the course these days - except for the fact he is St Henry of Highbury and never ever cheats...Quoted from

Let me say right off the bat i am a BRazil fan and still believe that Brazil will win the cup, but regarding your prediction tolseq for England and Germany to meet in the final, Germany will have to something that they have found impossible for nearly 100 years and thats beat Italy in a football match, for as strange as it may seem they have never ever beaten Italy

Damn right! And did anyone see Aragones shouting hurling abuse at Viera, once again, pick on the black dude why don't you Luis! Secondly, what disgusted me was the fact that during the French anthem Spanish fans were howling with much disrespect, hope they come back next time without arrogance nor a racist coach.

Henry behaved like an idiot and he did cheat! Holding his face when it had never been touched was designed to get the Spanish player sent off. This IS cheating! Henry should have been booked for this.

I just can't believe that "we" won!!!! I first felt that the Spaniards were stronger, early in the match.
Next time against Brazil should be harder still, but who knows... it starts smelling like 1998 - with cars hooting in the street right now!!!
Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Forgot to add that Puyol is the biggest cheat of all and it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy! Anyone remember how he dived for Barcelona when he hadn't even been touched, because Shevchenko had just scored a perfectly good goal for AC Milan?

NEVER ever a free kick, Henry was a disgrace to go down holding his face, when he had only just been physically held away fairly in the laws of the game. Of course the resultant free kick lead to the all decisive goal, shameful

Didn't think it would be long before the chavs came on here to slate Henry. A cheat and a choker.....but your numpty owner would still pay 150 million for him if he could. Never scores against the big teams....nice to see you've finally cottoned on to the fact that Chelsea aren't a big team

From the footage I saw, the player that Aragones was "motivating" with racist language looked to be very embarrassed by Aragones. I don't think Spain or Spaniards in general are racist, just Aragones. He got what he deserved today.

Collina was never like that; he let the game flow as much as possible. He is badly missed!

it's nothing to with peaking, you are the idiot, you don't want to exhaust yourselves in the group stages but to suggest that Spain's performance in the group stages had anything to do with their performance tonight is absolute rubbish
what tonight proves is that you can underperform in the group stages and get away with it but you can't in the knockout

Well done to France on their victory over Spain this evening but, when are the Spanish going to deliver on the big stage ? Nice to see Zizou score the late third goal to give us all one last memory of his talents even if France fail to beat Brazil on Saturday. I would fancy Brazil to gain revenge for 1986 & 1998 in Frankfurt and, set up a semi-final with Portugal or England.
I would tend to favour England on Saturday as they are due a big performance & Portugal's suspensions and, injuries might count against them. Italy should beat Ukraine comfortably. Having watched the Swiss match last night I thought both teams were extremely poor and, this should be the end of the road for the East Europeans although I expect Italy to make heavy weather of it as they always do.
The match I am really looking forward to is Germany v Argentina on Friday. I genuinely believe the World Cup winners will emerge from this encounter. The atmosphere in Berlin will be electric and, I fancy Germany to sneak it by hook or by crook. It has all the makings of a classic.
I just hope the team who wins this World Cup is the team that plays the best football.

Aragones strategy of not playing the defence deep was always a questionable tactic. Especially with players like Henry and Zidane in the French side. And starting with Raul?
Not such a good coach, after all....

Thats correct France and Brazil have met three times in the world cup 1958 where Brazil won 5-2, 1986 when France won on penalties and 1998 when FRance won 3-0. Very disappointed with Spain but should have known better than to back those perennial underachievers
