So Portugal hold on against 10-man Mexico to win 2-1. Was this a deserved win? They win the Group and now nervously await the loser of tonight's big match Argentina v Holland.

It wasn't a deserved win but seeing as they had 5 first teamers out, its still a very good win in the circumstances. Shows their mettle.
Referee was a bit iffy today.

Portugal win was deserved.. Mexico could not win a Portuguese team that were mostly made of weak players. Mexico played well, but it's goals that counts.
Portugal is clearly the strong team on this group. Mexico did well, very well...but it should have been easier for them since Portugal did not have it's regular line up.
GOOD JOB MEXICO and PORTUGAL!

It seems as though Portugal held off Mexico to clinch first place in Group D. It was well deserved although I will state that I am seeing people mourning in Miami.

Shame - I live in Vauxhall so I won't be ablel to sleep tonight due to a constant symphony of car horns People are rubbishing Portugal - Big Phil should never be underestimated; I wish he took/had been offered the England job.

big game? Argentina - Holland? i guess you haven't seen the digusting way both of these teams are set to start. No crespo, no riquelme, no robben, no messi, van persie, no heinze. Well done both of you.

The penalty awarded to Mexico was NOT harsh, it was handball and a clear obstruction...but ofcourse Mexico missed. Portugal played well without Deco & Ronaldo.

Portugal still looking good to win the World Cup.
Winning against a decent team whilst resting your main players. That can't be underestimated.
I think Tiago should not play again in this World Cup. He was dreadful.

I was highly annoyed by these diving, crying Portugese pansies. Especially that goalkeeper and that leftwing defender were terrible. Grown, fit men crying like a little girl, to remarkably recover very quickly. Sure, every team has these kind of players, but the Portuguese really master the art of making something look far more serious than it actually is.
Still though, the Mexicans can only blame themselves for this defeat. That handsball which lead to the first penalty was very very, well, stupid really. And that red card for diving in the box was pretty dumb too. Bravo missed a penalty and a few pretty good chances, and so on. I wasn't impressed by the Portuguese B-squad at all though.
