News which will help England agains Austria is in today, that Hans Krankl has been sacked as manager of Austria, and they will name their caretaker coach on Friday!

From an open minded point of view that sucks. I think Austria are a good team. But I hope they pick the right man.

They are now rudderless, and they have less chance of getting anything, which = England win, but I feel sorry for Krankl, and I hope they pick the right man too, as they are a decent team.

I think Austria are Rubbish,

Scotland were winning 2-0 at half time away against them and if we hadn't brought on that rank rotten Rad Kebab Douglas we would have beaten them comfortably.

Poland and England should be beating them easily.

Dude... shut up!!!

If you think Austria are rubbish explain how you guys lost to Northern Ireland. Plus you guys only tied them 3-3. And don't give the sh#tty excuse that it was James' fault.

Never ever underestimate a single national team

I think the poster who said Austria was rubbish was Scottish making the things you said pointless and proving that yanks are truely uninformed.

Hans Krankl

Quoted message from U1748867U1748867

He has the distinction of having played in 1 of the best and 1 of the worst World Cup matches of all time.

At Argentina'78 Krankl scored 2 of the goals which saw Austria beat Germany 3-2 and meant that that Germany (then the reigning World Champions) went out of the tournament. It was a cracking end-to-end match.

4 years later, however, the 2 sides met again at Espana'82 but this time they took part in the infamous 'Slow Waltz' draw which saw them both safely through to Second Phase at the expense of Algeria. Algeria justifiably complained to FIFA about this - but nothing came of it.

Krankl certainly knows the game inside out. It is a pity that he won't be with Austria next week - but perhaps (as has been said) that might benefit England. England still has to concentrate on that match 100% though.

Can you tell me a single country which has never lost a match? Thought not. Just another foreign windup merchant.

Of course it was James' fault. Whose fault was it if not his?

Why can't Sven chose how he wants to play and then pick the best 11 for his system? Playing his 'favourites' out of position so they don't throw their dummy out of the pram is doing noone any favours!!

That is not good news for England. Good news would be Sven getting sacked, with a caretaker manager being named for friday.
