Thierry Henry has ended months of speculation about his future by signing a new deal with Arsenal.

Not only is this great news for Arsenal but it's also good news for the Premiership as one of it's leading stars has decided to stay put instead of moving to La Liga or Serie A.

What are your thoughts on this news that Henry has stayed loyal to Arsenal, as this seems to be happening less and less in football today?

Are you happy that Henry has stayed with Arsenal as he is one of the best players the Premiership has ever seen?

Let us know your thoughts on this news.

Well, this will finally shut all those anti-Arsenal fans up. I'm really, really happy that Henry is staying, I just watched the press conference, and he stated that Arsenal is the club he loves.

Bring on next season, we'll push Chelsea all the way, we'll take the Champions League by storm next year, bring it all on!

Very happy. The premiership would have missed a player like Henry. Simply because there is no other player quite like him.

More to point though, why can you post before 3 o'clock but we can't?

I'm glad Henry has signed to continue with you folks (Liverpool fan speaking here).

He's among the best players in the world and I really admire his attitude and work ethic.. We need players like him in the Premiership, even if he is putting the ball past our 'keeper :-P .

So why didn't he sign months ago?

Yet again he failed to produce the goods in a big game (and then blamed the ref!!) and his best days must surely be behind him, if I were an Arsenal fan I'd rather cash in on him now.

how can he be past his best? he has scored loads of goals this season and steered his club to the champions league final as captain.

at 28 id say he'll be peaking next season. . .

as for him choking in big games id say he played well considering he had no support due to leh's sending off . . .

as a neutral im happy to see one of the prems stars to stay in England

Yeh, yeh!

This time next year you'll be eating humble pie!

BTW Any chance of Arsenal ditching that hideous 'blackcurrant' strip next season in favour of the traditional red with white sleeves?

I don't agree with the no show in big game theory but at least he performs in some unlike some players, the two double D's at Chelsea for starters.

homer - what are you talking about.

Check out Drogba's performance against Liverpool, Arsenal, Man U and all the bit teams. H ain't no Henry. Drogba is always there in big games. Henry is the total opposite. I do think that he bottled it against Barca as well.

United fan here, great news for anyone who enjoys good football; not the worst news for us either as we need other teams to be at their best to challenge Chelsea, should be a quality Premiership last year, with Arsenal, United and the ambulance-shakers all challenging Chelsea, and Spurs and Blackburn progressing too.

He took the easy option by signing for Arsenal and I think he will regret it. He disappears in big Premiership games and if he thinks that Arsenal wil reach the CL final again next year then he is being very naive...just look at the history of winners/runners-up and see their fate in the competition the year after.

Personally I'm glad to see he's signed though, heres' to another season of him not doing very much except against the lower league sides at home (which is now a new home without the home advantage!)

I am glad Henry is staying even though i hate Arsenal. a word of warning for Arsenal fans though....

you won't challenge for the title tgough unless you do what benitez is doing and build a team around your star player and i don't think Wenger is doing that you were lucky that by getting to a final your season looks respectable. in reality Arsenal were poor this season as their league form shows, you need more than Henry!
