Saha got us there and you dont drop him coz it would do nothing for his confidence.

Saha knows he's behind Rooney and Ruud so he has to use his opportunities in the cup.

job well done as far as i'm concerned. Ruud will start against wigan next week and probably get 3.

and that ladies and gentlemen is football.....

not really a disgrace
van has looked heavy in the legs recently and has taken a bit of a blow not getting the captaincy, where, when he has worn the band, ruud has played with intent.
louis has made this competition his way back into the side and i think he looks confident, and wily enough to know he has other players aroung him. something quite a few reds have been unaware of this season, especially in europe. van has to lump it- and that is a reflection on fergie learning from jose.
will sven leave his davey out summer time ?

it was good to rest van nisterooy for the next game but having a player that you cant bet on scoring in the final of the carling cup isnt good.

van nisterooy is in the top scorers chart of the premiership so doesnt that prove that he is better than saha and most of saha's goals scored are lucky anyway

TBH I imagine most players who played in the first few rounds of the cup must be looking from home at the celebrations and saying "Didnt I win the cup?"

Saha should always play ahead of Van......y, cos saha is more of a seeking type than Van......y.

Im not disputing the fact that saha has been great in this comp however ruud has scored 148 goals for us and he's our top scorer this season. If it wasnt for his goals in the league we would be 5th or 6th now. This wasnt a footballing decision something has gone on there and im pretty worried about ruud's future at the club.

Like Fergie said... he was top scorer and dropped for a final once though he was never as classy as Ruud

I do agree that others who played in the earlier rounds should have been given the opportunity to play... like Rossi and Bardsley but that's football indeed
