So Liverpool claim yet another European trophy after coming from 1-0 behind to beat CSKA Moscow in Monaco.

What did you all think of the game?

I thought the match (and Liverpool especially ) was very low-key in the beginning and CSKA definitely deserved their lead.

There's no doubt what or who the difference was though - Cisse was really sharp, a little bit lucky and inspirational.

Should he have started the match? Should MO replace him or play with him upfront?

BBC America needs to start showing the footie matches in the US!

Over joyed. Liverpool have now won more European trophies than any other team this century. What's not to love?

Only this thread appears to be working... I guess because a host started it.

Well played Cisse, he might have been lucky but he was the man getting in the right position, something Morientes didn't seem destined to do.

Michael Owen would be a great addition, but not at the expense of Cisse, although I wouldn't exactly be upset to see Luis Garcia leave to make room.

I agree - but unless LFC start a make-over show or star in a remake of Benny Hill then we haven't a chance. No sign of Doctor Who yet either.

Cisse loves playing for Liverpool. I have doubts that Owen has the same feelings. Owen could be a mistake if its at the expense of losing Cisse.

Liverpool controlled possession in the first half and were caught out by probably the first real attack from CSKA Moscow.

Garcia missed a few chances which would have evened the score up earlier.

In the second half Liverpool seemed to run out of ideas until Cisse with a bit of luck got the equaliser and after that the confidence returned and capped off by a good goal by Garcia.

Not to sure Cisse will still be at LFC but really do hope he does.

Have some patience - Benitez is a pure winner. He inherited a squad with several severe deficits from from Houllier, and now has to fix problems like at centreback.

You folks should wait on Moirentes too - when he gets on form he's a superlative target man. Great touch, great in the air, lovely passer and technique, and scores goals. He's been awful so far, but he has top European pedigree and when he's in the mood that will appear. Benitez is superb at getting the best out of players, and the Morientes/Cisse partnership could be dynamite. Forget Owen.

Liverpool are certainly putting English football back on the map. Its a good thing to happen before a World Cup campaign and the whole of England should be proud of our achievements.

It's goals that count (as always) but Liverpool had me worried...really worried..then I put on my Liverpool beanie...Cisse came on...and all my worries vanished...Lady Luck seems to play yoyo with us at the best and worse of times but I'm glad we won. Real glad!!! Well done the Reds. As for Owen, as far as I'm concerned he belongs at Anfield, no where else.

Well put Say_LFC_5_times - I'm an Arsenal fan but even I am happy that Liverpool are leading the way in European competitions.
