Above all when I drive on a sunny day, with radio on, even listening a good music, I feel very relaxed and in peace. Therefore driving improves my mood! But there is something that I love more than car: the bicycle.I think that when the weather is good cycling is better than driving. In this way we keep fit and above all we don't pollute, and a city without exhaust gas is ever a better city! Here two categories of drivers those who drive fast and those who are slow. We are polite and when motorist let me turn in our traffic jams we turn on emergency signal to show it the driver who let you drive your way. It means "thank you very much". I like this custom and use it quite frequently. I hate frozen winters because the car doesn't start up at -35. In this case you have to heat your car with the help of another working one. Lucky those who have underground parkings in their block-of-flats. I am among such people. I'm sure driving own can with our family members gives us happiness. it's fact crazy drivers are everywhere in the world. it's not stop us to drive our own car - even sometimes it's gives us tense. anyhow due to crazy drivers and congestive roads keep maintaining a good car is expensive at all level instead of thinking about traffic jam or traffic rules. I took participation a driving license exam a few years ago. For getting a driving license firstly I enrolled myself a driving technical college. There every morning before going to office I practiced car driving in a link road with a trainer. Initial level I was got scare when kept my hand on steering. I found gear out of my control when I tried to change. Sometimes I felt very nervous changing back gear. But day by day I got myself skilled rather than about two weeks ago driving a private car. With that time my expert trained my to check mobile and replace punchered wheel. Moreover I learnt about traffic signal indicator, how to manage relevant driving papers to be needed. After that I got a non professional driving license through passing a road authority exam that is domestic license, of course I have a international as well. That license belongings light motor vehicle such as motorcycle, micro bus and private car and so on. I appreciate driving if getting license and skilled on road with car anytime. But this is very unfortunate somebody used to drive car without license and training. It is also very puzzle that somebody is getting license in an unfair way. As a result this guys are facing unexpected accidents with injury, casualties and even spot dead. That is why everybody should be careful to get the driving. Nowadays driving is so much boring in traffic jam especially in non-developed countries where you can see non-planned highway having broken pitch. Nevertheless I love long drive with my friends with green fields in my eyes here and there into my looking glass. I always wishes a happy driving for everybody in our BBC Learning English Family Members. Good Luck. I feel exhuasted after getting off from bus. Also If we have navigation which helps us to find the place we wanna go to , It is so convenient cause I could go wherever easily. However I can't deny loads of cons such as traffic jam, parking, possibilities of accident, expenses of mainting car. There are often traffic jams i dont like to deal with, because of waisting my time. So i escape crowds by using highways that provides me in a circle around the down town traffic, so i can safe more time and have more relaxation while driving. Besides i like my car very much, it means a privat place for me where i can listen to music, BBC lessons or take phonecalls. I dont have to take care for others like in public transportations, actually in the flow of the traffic. I have to admit that driving a car is not for everybody. Speaking from my personal experience, I took driving lessons and I pass the theoretical exam with no difficulties but the practical test was something different. I felt that I forgot all I learnt and I fell the exam. I was too nervous, scared and intimidate by the police man and I have never tried again. I like to drive fast. When the air strike in my eyes and hair through the car window I feel thrilled. I become more thrilled when the soft sunlight reflects on my cheek. I love to drive in the highways where I can drive as fast as I want. I like to see my girlfriend beside my seat although I've no one. I like to hear music while driving, especially soft music. I don't like to stop because of traffic. I hate traffic. And I hate traffic police too because most of them are dishonest. They take bribe from the motorists and allow them illegal driving. I don't like to see my car scratched by any other cars of other causes. I like to see my car fresh all the time and like to see same thinking among others too. Thats what I think about driving. It’s the sense of freedom that gives you. When I'm sad, when I'm bored, I take my car and I can be everywhere I want. I live in a small town, so there no means of transportation. So, either you take your car, or you go by foot. And the parking is not a problem in my region. Unless I have to drive 60 km away to the second biggest city of my country, Thessalonica. But this summer I tried not to use my car every day to the beach so I ride my daughter’s bicycle. The reason is for exercise and for the high cost of fuels. Because of my country's taxes the rise of the fuel price is very big and I now it makes me consider every kilometre I drive. Moreover I like to travel a lot and I used to with my car taking my family. But now because of the costs, I try not to go any trips. There it's quite quiet and you have some amazing views. You can watch it in an easy way. And what about the motorways? I don't like it because the rush hour is very busy. You have always to be alert and sometimes there are drivers who are suddenly aggressive when you're doing an unpredictable action. In the future I'll often use my bike. You are not tied up with rules and timetables of public transport. It enables me to do more in a limited time. However, waiting on traffic jam and drivers who don't care the traffic rules are night mare all around the world Tue 24 Jan 2012 16:23:25 GMT+1 Maria http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/general/expressenglish/2012/01/120116_ee_driving_story.shtml?page=5#comment3 I passed the driving test six months ago and I must say I love driving car, especially the freedom it gives me in getting wherever I want. Finally I don't have to ask anyone for a lift or be worried that a public transport will fail me. The only problem is I can't afford my own car right now. I hate driving when I am in a hurry, because I am worry about being punctual and sometimes I make mistakes or even infractions without realizing. But I hate to drive in a rush hour, all is difficult, you feel persecuted by the other drivers, you must bear lights and beep of the other cars, and sensation you are wasting your time. To drive means to be free.Speaking about problems I can say that here in Ukraine and Russia we have almost the same problems any driver has all around the world I mean high prices on fuel, problems with parking places and traffic jams in big cities. I don’t know how in other countries but here we have a very different and I would say very unpleasant problem – crazy drivers and “majors” a drivers, particularly young ones, children of the rich and powerful people who disturb other drivers with their careless driving of luxury, muscle and pimped cars. And the usual people can beat you too if got angry with your driving in the traffic jam. I’ve been to Poland and Germany for many times and can say their drivers and the style of driving itself strongly differs from ours. Tue 24 Jan 2012 14:12:29 GMT+1
