DNA Knowledge Base
Welcome to the DNA Knowledge Base. This is where you can find all sorts of documentation about DNA, the system that powers many of the BBC's online communities and messageboards. We've used DNA's built-in categorisation system to split the information on the Hub into various subjects, as follows. Please, feel free to browse!
An Introduction to DNA - If you have no idea1 what DNA is all about, then this is the section for you.
Content on DNA - Websites wouldn't be much use without content, and this section collects together all our experience of creating content on DNA sites.
Communities on DNA - The psychology behind DNA sites is truly incredible, and this is where you can find out what makes DNA communities tick, from clustering to parties.
Moderation and Rules on DNA - This is where you can find information on rules, moderation and community-developed processes.
Technical Knowledge Base - Knowing about the technology behind DNA is essential if you're to get the best from it, so here's a collection of articles all about how the system works, including a whole section on GuideML.
Project Information - This section contains current information about the DNA project, from development plans to contact details.
It's worth remembering that a project like DNA is never finished, so if you've got any comments or suggestions about what you'd like to see in the Knowledge Base, please let us know in DNA Feedback.
1 That's all right, you're not alone!
