The Essential Finnish - these are some phrases and words that you might need when you go to Finland or talk to Finns. I will add some more entries about the Finnish language, grammar, pronounciation etc. soon. Don't be frustrated by the size of this page. The first paragraph contains some phrases, the following ones contain some basic vocabulary, assorted by word types and in alphabetical order. The left column is always in English, the middle in German and the right column in Finnish. And now have fun with this beautiful language...
