Dennis the Menace (Sep 4, 1999)
Saturday Aug 28
hurricane dennis is on his way, preperations are underway to evacuate.
securing things for heavy winds and flooding. Heavy surf advisories
posted.

Sunday Aug 29
Evacuation order given, all non-essential Caost Guard personnel and
families are moved to Rocky Mount North Carolina. The boat crews
(that's me) are scheduled to depart early Monday morning to take the
boats to a safe haven.

Monday Aug 30
Amidst preparations to get the boats underway it is decided that the storm
is too close and we will not have time evacuate the boats. The order is
given to secure the boats at their moorings and get home to wait out the storm.
The Hurricane party begins.
