A lovely caravan park is Coopers Beach, situated..err...well somwhere on the island. There ain't much to do really but who can complain when a 4 night break is just £50. There is an adventure park, convience store/gift shop, tenni courts, indoor and outdoor swimmng pool and a landrette. Oh and top enterainment is avaiable at The Castle Tavern [like two wig wearing comdians from Tibury, who sing a bleep out version of who the is Alice]. Also with Colchester a mere 7 miles away, its quite a good family holiday...providing you like British weather and like a good old small british beach
I know it well. It's just round the corner from my parents place, but then everything on the Island is just round the corner!

What is the name of that farm near to it, been bugging me .
Mersea is a nice little island though, the weather lets it down. and to get anywhere from Coopers Beach you need to cross that bridge which goes over a river leading to the sea...as far as I know its always flooding
Which farm? there are a few on the Island.
Sounds about right for the bridge, haven't been there for a while though!

The farm that is just before Cooper's beach...is it Vent the name? something like that!
Haven't a clue and being in france it's going to be 2 weeks until I can check but if I remember I will do!

ok
the farm next to coopers beach is called FEN Farm, a very nice caravan and tent park. on the other side of Coopers beach is Waldegraves caravan park, which i am told is more expensive but they also take tents, where as coopers beach does not.
