...how many people down here at school ask me if I'm Amish when I tell them I'm from Lancaster, Pa. tongueout I guess it seems obvious to me, but if I was Amish I wouldn't be here... much less a lot of other things. laugh I just find that amusing.

One of these days I'll have the time to work on my Amish entry, just to clear up confusion. But I'm too busy right now.... weird

School will be over soon and then you'll have all the time you'll need! winkeye

The Amish entry is off to a great start, it just needs the second half. smiley

Same thing, really...winkeye

And she's going to be very busy this summer, Jimi... Clive is arriving in June, and they're going to Shea and TJs wedding in July, and of course the Pennsylvania Dutch meet, and she's got that audition to practice for (and you can bet she's gonna get naggedwinkeye )

I can very easily recruit the people in your house to join me in nagging, you know...

I don't think you realize I was serious... what's practicing?

I really don't practice that much... not in the true sense of the word, anyway... no more than half an hour a day for me... and during the school year I'm lucky if I get that much time in at all. tongueout

Which leads me to the question: how *did* I make honors recital auditions, anyway? huh

bigeyes

The real question is, if you're that good with hardly any practice, how would you sound if you *did*?

A point of personal amusement, Amy... what you said above about "just imagine how you'd sound if you actually practiced!" is verbatum what both parents used to tell me when I was younger.

They gave up nagging me about it, it seems. winkeye

My parents used to say the same thing to me too...

...I'll have to watch saying it to *my* kids.

Must be a Pennsylvania thing. winkeye
