The Mary Celeste was built by Joshua Dewis (my ancestor) on Spencers Island in Nova Scotia. According to things I've read on the 'net, her final resting place may be near Haiti. (See http://abcnews.go.com/sections/scit...ch/DailyNews/maryceleste010807.html for the more details.)

Another possible theory for the disappearance of the crew was suggested in an episode of Doctor Who where the Daleks ended up on board and exterminated the crew.
