Bembridge is the jewel of the isle of Wight. The harbour when the sun gleams on it looks beautiful and it feels like you are a million miles away from the grim of London. The village is very peaceful and so is the main pub at the top of the high street. Most tourists do not go there so it retains that charm. Don't forget the odd looking phone box in the village! To walk along the beach on a stormy day with the howl of the sea is magical especially if you're the only one there.
Very true. It is quite a nice area - especially with the Duver nearby. Many a time I've walked or cycled along the area, it is definately very peaceful and serene.
BTW - I've written a much more detailed article on Bembridge here: http://www.h2g2.com/A222968
