Not even a lustful spark in your parents' eyes, eh?
It's certainly kept John Tusa in work. 2009 has been a bumper year for anniversaries. WWII, Woodstock, the Moon Landings, Millenium Bug all covered earlier this year.

Tienanmen Square and the founding of the People's Republic of China too.
Is it just my memory that's faulty, but I don't seem to recall all this news about the 10th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall or the 50th birthday or Communist China.
There was a thing about tianamen square...
It just goes to show that the Chinese government never cared about Communism in the first place. Where the Europeans gave in to the protestors and quit, the Chinese slaugtered them and then abandoned the economic system to stay in power.
The most important thing to remember about the Chinese revolution is that it never happened. Just the beginning of a new dynasty.
I rember that I was on the night shift when the wall came down. We nad no contact with the outside world (aside of our usual activities ) and were moaning about it being so "quiet" when the duty officer came in and said "we're all out of a job" and we had no idea what he was on about!
I have to kill you all now, line up in an orderley fashion please.
