Dear Dr. Savage and JC,
I suggest that 3 key words needed to be applied are "personal and communnal renewal" as opposed to "new world order". Renewal is the key to adapt to the changes needed, without tipping the boat over. The project I work on now to ground these thoughts as a stay-at-home-dad-citizen-voter from cyber space to reality is called: "Healing the Inner Circle". To view, please see:

Thank you Dr. Savage for your encouragement. Regarding the question about the chi, I am hoping to create a "Native Chi Tea Shop" to help educate neighbourhoods into the Chinese Traditional Medecine, which I study through the herbal door of application. The idea of the word Native is to contribute to restore the honor of the Aboriginal population in Canada and to be an open door to all nationalities and cultures who have come to find refuge in Canada as a result of domestic oppression. Once well together, I will franchise it.
Dear Bill, regarding the macro and micro position you describe, I agree. I must say though that because of democracy, the ground people are ready to respond massively to what will inspire us to bring democracy up to date with the times. What I mean is that it used to take a long time to travel 100 years ago and to report back and forth and to implement decisions. Now a day, ideas travel at the speed of thought. Voting needs to become a fact of awareness each time we spend money or interact with anyone. In that regards, I promote the idea of creating a 24/7 community centre made of the alliance between Restorative Justice and Community Mental Health. The Native Chi Tea Shop is design for the sake of hosting such a project of research and development for the sake of a harmonious deployment from personal to communal and from local to global.

Its nice to find you here again. You are very right about the schools and universities. Because of the need to deeply capture the people's attention, one part of the research project I am engaged in calls for judges to meet in schools in the evenings with parents, children and neighbours at large, for the sake of developing the "Personal Sector". That sector will serve to welcome the private and the public sectors into the renewal in the clarity of transparency so that there can be a melting away of "official secrecy" and of "the code of silence". Those 2 ancient economic dispositions are the enemies of democracy's ideals and have yet to be removed from handling the tax resources in the command and control structures as mentioned above by Bill Rogers.

Barroso's speech - Leaves me cold!

Arturs, thanks for pointing us to Barroso's speech from Feb. 2005. In his 'Partnership for European Renewal' he has three slogans: Prosperty (with sustainable development), Solidarity, and Security. All fine, but the French would never fight a revolution for them. For what three terms that would enable the Knowledge Economy would people indeed go to the baracades for?
Andrew, please say a bit more about Otto Scharmer's new book, and the work you did on dialogue. How critical is this for our starting to grok the Knowledge Society?

Nick, right we need a "holistic focus." In the Industrial model we divided and subdivided. What are the dynamics of the reverse of this? And thanks for letting us know about your book on Governance, do put a link to it in your comment.
JC - From nuclear engineer, to IBM and BSchool Dean, you've learned it all. What will the Knowledge Economy need to go critical?
William - You rightly argue about the need to "change the way we think." Does this have any relationship to Calvinball? Or to Jame Carse's wonderful book, "Finite and Infinit Games."

Thanks for sharing these, I will look them over after our session. The reason I asked is that the Chinese and the Japanese know of "chi" and "ki," that wonderful energy that flows from each of us, if we only listen to its inner power. Henri Bergson spoke of the "Elen Vitale," or vital energy. I am just wondering if these are not different ways to focus on an important part of our reality that we tend to ignore? What do you think?

A Desperate India – Strategy Needed

While European nations are working on the Lisbon policy that I read up on I thought I might present another much darker picture of the situation here in India.
1. Many kids don't get past school and work as child labor.
2. Many adults pull bicycle carriages, break stones or live by other physical labor as they have no education or no jobs.
3. There are too many examinations and very few colleges and the schooling up to grade 12 is mostly memory based.
Maybe someone there could help India out. This could be done by providing an education model.

Here is what the last 2 weeks have simmered into, with my tramping around the Internet. I am zeroing on an expression called: "Focus on the Sciences of Spiritual Hygiene(FSSH)". That is the ground zero whre ultimate and nothing meet in balance of one another. With FSSH, Actions for Healty Communities are offering a unique opportunity to get from competing to completing; now, that would be healthy, would it not?
Once you've gone through all the links, weeks, months or even never might you bother reading all of that stuff. That's cool; I am sending it for the record of my work on the Open Source movement of the Internet,

I think that up and above what we have, is the historic possibility to go one step ahead of "personalizing the e-Learning environment". We are in a perfect conjuncture in North America, in Australia, in Europe and all emerging economies, to see the emrgence of "the Personal Sector" rising upon the wave of Open Source communication and living, in order to lead the private and public sectors into the clarity of transparency. As an example, we could see the fall of all structures of command and control into genuine service where leaders are in fact legitamized because of being successful followers of the service they offer. Such a movement of intelligence is possible by lighting up the wik that will burst through the walls that go on ruling with fear-driven indifference and ignorance, by starting with an agreement as simple as a rallying project to define the sciences of spiritual hygiene. Twenty years ago or so, I read a true story that happened in Austria in the 1760s I beleive it was. The story was of an Austrian pathologist who had noticed that his colleagues were dying of the same illnesses as the bodies that they were examining. He began to alert the world of sciences to that fact of "contagion" and he tried to activate a scientific response to fight the problem. He eventually was left to die in an assylum for mentally ill people. It was'nt until 1954 that it became a law in the United States of America, for doctors to wash their hands between patients in order to fight
contagions with good hygiene practices. I use that story as a arallel
anectdote to the present need for humanity to discover the laws of Spiritual Hygiene.
The world is at least as ignorant regarding spiritual hygiene as
the Western world has been to physical hygiene, up to very recently,
relatively speaking. With the points that are being made, especially with the practical call for knoledgeable help of Mr. Dhobley, the fundamental question that we now face in this thread and which indeed Open Source KM at large is facing, is: " How do ideas materialize from cyber space to reality (1)?" Until the growth of such a model becomes the cause of living our lives from birth to craddle, then the view that answers that fundamental question will remain in the field of incentive covered with greed and misery instead of inspiration and liberty.(1a) Immediate solution possible from our conversation here?
I suggest that we articulate an agreement of aims and principals. As well, we could agree on a starting place on each continent of the earth that will raise the Ancient Voice of Humanity's Youth(2) to guide a mature people of all people to live and to shine forth the Solemn Beauty of Being Human in the fluidity of Common Sense locally and for Taking It Global(2a) (2b).
Together we shall enter in the Presence of the Qiuetening Silence of Patient Wisdom(3) for the Healing of the Inner Circle(4) and for the blossoming of The Faculty of Living(5).
As we enter into the communion of the Sacred Heart(6), we get to be purified, ignited and sanctified by the Sacred Fire(7).
As we get to move from Brown to Green(8), the universal home rises
from deep within each one who gets touched(9). Oppression and exploitation are forced to give way to inspiration, wisdom and joy(10). Education grows lucidity-responsability-liberty and the glory of God's children shines forth, enduring the travail of labor along with the whole creation(11). Welcome to the Flowcalization(12) of the organic experience of spiritual unity.(13)
