Mission Statement
The Faculty of Living’s mission is to research, while developing, the residential dwelling that can house the life long personal growth, with the constant access to receive and to give communal support.
Owning up to human intelligence to reach beyond the military and security forces, is where the Faculty of Living’s territory begins.

HOW THE IDEA CAME UP
On the front page of the local weekly newspaper of January 17, 2007, there was an article explaining that the Edmonton Public School Board (EPSB) are contemplating the closure of 3 elementary schools, located within the city limits. Their decision will be rendered in March 2007, opening up in theory the possibility to re-assign these premises by July 2007.
Based upon that theory and given the need to massively learn how to personally and communally re-educate ourselves to face the challenges of sustainability and of social security, The Faculty of Living is a project offering to bring together the domestic setting, that serves to house the culture of personal and mutual Health-Education-Correction.
Living with a person who lives with personal developmental disabilities for nearly 22 years, we hope that such personal experience, can serve as a basis for the live feed into the project’s self-determination for the solutions that grow to be multi-culturally suitable from personal to the local and global discipline of ownership.

NITIAL MEETING
The purpose of that initial meeting will be to galvanize the necessary support for our family to move into position to host the 24/7 alliance’s development for the supervision body.
This initial meeting will be offered under the name of Healing the Inner Circle. It is an initiative for which I received support last year and from which the funding will come.

http://www.a4hc.ca/With this initial meeting, the purpose originally intended by the funding of Healing the Inner Circle is being changed, while remaining within the mandate of an Action for Healthy Communities.
As a result of this change, the initiative is now moving from multi-cultural music production and traditional medicines to the social housing which, once opened, shall begin the implementation of its personal and communal research and development apprenticeship, all based upon the disciplines of music and traditional medicines, meeting up in completion with the existing structures of the established authority of Health-Education-Correction.
Our family spans 3 generations in Alberta and we hope to raise a socio-cultural gravity, setting in motion an organic minimal standard made of a 3-generations-trans-generational connectivity into the youth of all ages, where the Ancient Voice of Humanity’s Youth is free to be complete and active within the guiding inspiration of humanity’s journey.
Such is the scope to be covered by the initial meeting.
WHO ARE FIRST INVITED
The idea of using the 3 schools made vacant by EPSB, is to provide families who have one or more member who qualify as persons with developmental disabilities and senior citizens, interested to join forces to lead the renovations of these schools with a habitat model of sustainability’s life long learning and apprenticing.
Such an effort will equip buildings and people into a domestic dynamics to host the social development needed for the culture of personal and mutual Health-Education-Correction to take root solidly and richly.
In many cases, the road from homelessness to the restoration of the basic quality of life calls for much adjustments on many fronts of the homeless person's own life skills and from the collective response to offer adequate services.
To put the whole thing in a nutshell, the home I am working on is going to function on the basis that each candidate involved in any capacity of the project, must accept to adapt to the personal discipline of lifelong learning, in order to grow Health-Education-Correction as the community bond.
No one gets rejected, as long as evryone begins with the assesment of personal needs. This will serve to determine the individual levels of health, education and what is the person's capacity to adapt to the corrective disciplines needed.
Once the assesment is completed in agreement of all concerned, we then get on with the personal and communal progress in the spirit of servanthood, learning to live in mutual subjection, with truth and love.
Individually, the point of the exercise is to go from stranger to family by going from animal to spiritual. Communally, we are going from the spiritual division of our dna to the organic experience of spiritual unity.
ACTIVATING FRAMEWORK
The activating framework (AF) is to answer the question:
“How do we present The Faculty of Living in such a way as to gather the people and the elements that will generate the interest of a critical mass in supporting and into partnering with the project?”
- By opening up a space where can assemble the core persons needed to embody the project with the habitat model that can serve as the basis of deployment into neighbourhoods.
- This space needs to accommodate the financial and volunteer support to entrench the Health – Education – Correction’s sufficiency for a minimum of 2 or 3 families, along with 2 or 3 senior citizens, involved together for developing each school’s occupancy.
Each school will house 3 programs:
- Monastic Family Habitat (MFH)
MFH serves the Health part of the project by offering the setting for the co-habitation that employs each resident into the apprenticeship of personal and mutual care.
- Night Time Padre (NTP)
NTP serves the Education part of the project where the residents are hosting the community with activities that are driven by the mission of The Faculty of Living.
These activities are being decided and carried out as much as possible by the residents, for the sake of nurturing the socio-culture of lifelong learning. Volunteers and/or hired staff shall bring completion to the efforts of the residents.
- Native Chi Shop (NCS)
NCS serves the Correction part of the project by offering to the 2 other programs, MFH and NTP, the ongoing research and development opportunity, for personal and communal improvement.
Because of the 24/7 nature of domestic dwelling, there is, with these schools or similar buildings, the opportunity to demonstrate how to embody the culture of maturity, offering to the surrounding community, a serene meeting place of the neighbourhood, offering the service of Health-Education-Correction’s habitat, aiming to satisfy personal and communal needs of inner healing.
SUPERVISION BODY
The supervision of The Faculty of Living will be made of an alliance between the domestic disciplines of
Restorative Justice – Community Mental Health – Alternative Medicine,
Moving sustainability with life time learning from the domestic experience of maturity to the socio-cultural completion with
The Courts and Legislative Bodies – Humanities deployment from play ground to maturity – Conventional Medicine.
Such is the spectrum of the initiative.
BASIS OF THE ALLIANCE BETWEEN RESTORARIVE JUSTICE AND COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH
JUSTICE MUST FIRST COME ALIVE IN EACH HEART AND SPIRIT
As long as tolerance remains an ideal to aim for, then distance and
discomfort will prevail between cultures and people. Tolerance is not an ideal but a bare minimum component of a civil society. It allows for the flexibility of wisdom and patience to keep us in co-existance mode, while we go on learning to grow with one another from stranger to family.
Tolerance is the limit that frames civility. Past a certain point of
descency, there is no tolerance left and what comes next must be addressed immediatly, before it becomes infectious; that is what's called The Rule of Law.
Therefore, the question becomes "How do we build the environment to
cultivate tolerance into mutual care?"
If we want to see caring from stranger to family to happen, each culture must adapt to grow in the justice that produces personal peace and joy, causing all parties to flourish into the movement of a mature people of all people. Such justice is the gift of God into each one's heart and spirt.
The passage of God's gift from our heart to our soul and from our spirit to our body is when and where unity gets to be woven into holiness.
This Covenant of renewal from animal to spiritual becomes the personal and family responsability, first of all, and then, from family to family we learn to go from the spiritual division of our dna and we move into the organic experience of spiritual unity.
Such personal discipline and communal journey is the only way to secure the harmonization of cultures into a mature people of all people.
So the battle ground becomes everything we each think, say and do. The victory evolves around seizing the best possible opportunity available to carry on this journey of redeeming each moment from out of the dead state of spiritual division and into the clarity of live transparency, where love rules from the living inner-justice.
One point of gravity to deploy such movement from local to global and beyond the confusion of religion, is "The Faculty of Living" where all human experience, knowledge, sciences and faculties meet up in the assembling of one another's relativity and proximity into the settlement of life's essence or as it is known to Christianity, eternal life.
From such culture comes the personal peace and joy to feed social justice connecting the populations into the oneness of "The Solemn Beauty of Being Human answering the Ancient Voice of Humanity's Youth in the fluid acdaptation of Common Sense!"
In more simple terms, we must grow from competing to completing upon the road from stranger to family! There is only mutual subjection in love and truth that can do that!
The just shall live by faith! Such is how God becomes the gift, being Himself the source of justice Who sustains the battle of reconciliation, of mercy, of compassion and of community building...
Ultimatly, The Faculty of Living is a service offered for the restoration of personal and of communal spiritual simplity. The service it offers to humanity, is to cultivate the expereince and the discipline of The Perpetual Celebration of Easter upon the Land of Emmanuel, when and where Easter and Chrismas fill each breath and each moment of all who love holiness and its Source!!!...

ALBERTA, HOME OF A QUéBECOIS IN EXILE
For all parties of authority who are concerned, The Faculty of Living is a one shot deal (opportunity for all of humanity) for the front line actors of social policy development to hit the Invisible Gold Rush of Being Albertan.
This is where diversity and togetherness must find their co-habitation.

Once a space gets to open up to host the development of the project, then there will be daily meetings, hosted in the spreading of MFH – NTP – NCS, cultivating The Faculty of Living.
The purpose of such a space is to set up a non-profit organization or to join an existing housing society or agency.
A board of directors will be assembled to gather up the people with the expertise to advise the project, while representing the organizations, which have a related involvement to steer the project to completion.
Of course, if for any reasons the schools were to become unavailable for The Faculty of Living project of social housing and human resource development, then the project shall continue to evolve elsewhere until completion.
VIEW OF PROJECT’S EVOLUTION
As the first residents settle in the living quarters, the supervision body works with us to establish the parameters and guidelines to work from, in the organic adaptation of the group with each other.
Once the first habitat project comes to maturity, the initiative will then be equipped with a self-sufficient entity, ready and positioned to assemble and to deploy community self-government connectivity into the infrastructure of our tax expenditures at all levels of democracy from local to global.
Once the activation of the structure becomes functional for all stakeholders, then deployment begins in the organic duplication, meaning, that the whole process shall forever remain flexible and adaptable to each personal need of growth into the life long learning and sustainable living, within the completing, communal support.
