As the title says, the following are various ways that I composed to describe the vision I seek to deploy with my life experience, as an offering to God for the sake of His glory in humanity.

The following was written on May 29, 2007 to a friend from back where I come from and live in exile from since Nov 23rd 1978:

...I am still searching for the means to get a 24/7 community center going. It will serve by fostering the alliance between Restorative Justice and Community Mental Health.
The idea is to offer a location where a lifestyle of lifelong of Health-Education-Correction gets cultivated in the passage from the spiritual division of human DNA to the organic experience of spiritual unity.
This experience is the simplification of all christian history into "The Perpetual Celebration of Easter" upon "The Land of Immanuel". That simplification is the coming on of Chrismas and Easter all year around, as God has always meant it to be.
Once we get a prototype ready, we shall then expand into a scaling up of franchises, tapping into the contextual potential offered by the Canadian national unity crisis, learning to feed the void with the spiritual substance of healing the meaning.
The activation process of the community center is the development of the victory over stress and over the compulsive human nature. The disciplines of music and the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine hosting all other medicines are the main tools for that victory to grow.
Then we proceed with the social policy to deploy the universal adaptation of the Recovery Road from self-destruction to self-control and community self-government.
Once that the scaling up begins, the community centers take on the common denominator of "The Faculty of Living" where all human experience, knowledge, sciences and faculties are invited into completion of one another's assembling, from out of competition.
A mature people of all people are then set to serve with this socio-cultural venture by becoming the point of focus for the econo-political forces to facilitate the move toward sustainability.
This gets done by easing the emergence of the Personal Sector within the rise of the clarity of transparency being fostered by the community centers.
The Personal Sector rises up like the sunshine of collective decision-making, replacing the backroom deals that are protected in the public sector by official secrecy and by the codes of silence of the private sector.
Heal Canada with a strong Personal Sector and the nations of the world will have somewhere to look in order to see how and where to go for each one's own healing.
That pretty well sums up where I am at in my thoughts, hoping to make some inroads soon into spreading the practice of such lifestyle of lifelong Health-Education-Correction.

Anyhow, I was just musing on the core message of community currencies in a participatory society which is about 'helping people to help themselves' through valuing the work people are willing to do and encouraging reciprocity.
I believe that the UK's 'welfare state' constructed in the aftermath of the second world war was a very great achievement in that the generation that created it vowed not to go back to pre-war conditions where a majority lived in poverty. They put in place the machinery to combat what its chief architect William Beveridge called the five giants of Want, Disease, Ignorance, Squalor
and Idleness. Although these words themselves may sound a little paternalistic and quaint now, the sentiment behind them was true and so we created the National Health Service, universal education and a plethora of other social services which have done great good in their time.
The problem was the 'law of unintended consequences' in that these nationally planned and financed services gradually eroded self-help, reciprocity and localism, so that we have large numbers of people now practising 'learned helplessness' in order to get the attentions of well-meaning but stressed service professionals trying to manage and ration scarce resources.
The challenge now is to balance out the 'safety net' of provision by the state with programs that draw out peoples' potential to help themselves. Maybe this is a search for an integration of traditionally 'left' and 'right' political solutions to 'wicked' modern problems?
So, let's create structures and processes through which people can learn to combat Giants Want, Disease, Ignorance, Squalor and Idleness for themselves!

It is similar to the "problem" Singapore raised some 15 years ago (I
think) when the leadership realised that the social imperatives of
20, 30, 40 years ago were now out of date and the new social
imperative was affluence! What do we do when all basic needs are
provided for and social despondency starts to creep in?
Of all the "economic conundrums" I have thought about over the last
20 years, this one still has me stumped.

I live on the front line of "social despondency", in the middle of the ravage done by the five giants. Yesterday(Oct 16,06), there was an official report from the Canadian federal Correctional Services showing the very large disproportion of Aboriginal people being incarcerated.
They were linking it directly to poverty, but failing to mention the five giants. The situation of "civility" is currently keeping the giants from even being acknowledged. The stress of their reality is chocking all who are concerned for health to return, while the giants
go on ruling entire populations, breeding terror and forcing anti-terror to rise.
Only the inspiration from the embodiment of Health-Education-Correction can address such a state of affair. By consolidating such recovery road, we find the key to open the door within people where the giants can no longer rule and where the more we move on, the more will they fade away as a lesson from history, for the whole of humanity's sustainability. I, for one, am quite thankful that you are hanging in there with your
continued leadership of and contribution to this group. Your postings are filled with useful information, insights, and contacts. They are always anticipated and thoughtfully tended to when they arrive.
Don't gauge lack of response as commensurate with appreciation or even willingness to do take action where your postings lead us to look and heed.
Most of us are up to our eyeballs working in two systems that are operating parallel to one another. If we are successful, it won't always be that way; but for the foreseeable future (oxymoron if there ever was one) this dual existence is a way of life.
We're up to some heady stuff over in socialagriculture@.... There is
a certain entrepreneurial kick in what each of the MyFoodStory teams is pursuing. This means a wide-range of business models concerning localized, sustainable agriculture / farming operations is under consideration.
Just like integrated farming and waste management and renewable energy with zero emissions are essential building blocks to these business models, so are the community currency schemas if the business models are going to have economic viability in the long run. Can you help us?
So, first and foremost, keep turning out the wisdom. Check in on the Social Agriculture / MyFoodStory projects every now and then. Offer practical, hands-on advice on how to marry community currency with localized agriculture. That would be wonderful!

What do you suggest? If there is not a website for this product/process then that would be a first step - helping to set up a website.
There are various options setting a discussion group to discuss health issues as part of an integrated approach to development or a wiki that might connect to the Unity Centre wiki and offer a set of holistic health solutions to complement NHP (after an evaluation of potential health solution).
Would you be willing to take the lead in evaluating NHP so that then we could consider incorporating it into OVF's work?.
Getting back to the contest you mentioned, what is your specific
interest or idea in relation to applying to that? Were you thinking of NHP or something more encompassing than that such as which I am trying to put forward on the Unity Centre wiki?
