Euro2000 page

This is the page for all right-thinking people who want to talk about FOOTBALL!!!

Ignore all those grumpy types who do all they can to avoid seeing it, and get talking about:

  • How did Slovenia manage to lose a lead like that against 10 men?
  • Can we finally beat the Germans when it matters? (Yes, as it goes!)
  • Can anyone stop France in their current form? (apparently not)
  • Apropos nothing at all, go here to join the campaign to Bring Back Dangermouse!

You can also find me in the H2G2 Natural History Museum run by Amy the Ant.

    Notah Begay III
    Jul 20, 2000

I'm just watching the Open on TV, and I'm wondering why Notah Begay III puts the 'III' on the end of his name. I can quite understand that it might cause confusion if he didn't do it in situations where I and II are involved, but it wouldn't cause any confusion to the overwhelming majority of the watching millions if he left it off, would it?

    Inspiration required

I feel the urge to write something for the Guide, but what?

    Picky, picky...
    Feb 18, 2000

It all started when my wife, watching Star Trek TNG with me yesterday, pointed out that the bloke moving the 'starfield' background outside Picard's window was falling down on the job. Either that or the Enterprise was accelerating and decelerating, then coming to a complete stop, then doing it all over again.

After that, we moved on to Buffy the Vampire Slayer - she wakes up in hospital with some sort of intravenous drip. However, when she got out of bed, she already had a dressing gown and slippers/socks on AND she didn't have to take out the drip to be able to walk off and find this week's monster.

Lastly, the Goodness Gracious Me 'GAP' trailer came on and I noticed that at one point in the routine Kulvinder Ghir forgets where he is and has to hurriedly catch up with Sanjeev Bhaskar. However, he does manage to keep smiling. Nice save, Kulvinder.

I got another Guide Entry approved!
This one didn't appear on the '5 Most Neglected' bit, either.
I seem to have run out of inspiration for stuff to write now, though.

    Approved entry
    Jan 19, 2000

Hey! My entry for Billingshurst has been approved!

However, it's now up there as one of the '5 most neglected sites'. I think this must be what they call ambivalence.
