| | The Dancing Tree | |
The Dancing Tree popped out for a ham croissant sometime during 2001, but should be back anytime soon. Sources state that he's been sighted in Hampshire, working as a journalist, and some might wonder if he's actually here right now, writing this introduction in third-person. In the meantime, get in touch via cngrannell@yahoo.com or visit Snub Communications for various tree-related links, or www.projectnoise.co.uk and buy his CDs! Thank you for your attention. Normal service will be resumed as soon as we know what normal is.
Dancing Tree FAQ Q: Why 'The Dancing Tree'?
A: Long story, to do with a bet, a Halloween party, and a large piece of cardboard. Q: More info about you, please.
A: Hmm... that's not a question. Anyway, I'm male, 30ish and live fairly near to London, with ismarah. Q: You edited my article a while ago, but you're no longer a sub-editor. What do I do?
A: Have you tried talking to one of the other sub-editors or the in-house H2G2 editorial team? They're nice people, you know. I can't help you now, though... sorry. Q: Right... so why are you no longer sub-editing?
A: I didn't have enough time free to give the job the attention it deserved. It was as simple as that, really. Q: So what else do you do?
A: Check out Snub Communications for what I'm currently up to, including: Images from Iceland
This micro-site contains dozens of photographs of Iceland, taken from my various travels around the island. Visit Images from Iceland. Project Noise
Project Noise is my eclectic audio project, merging dance, post-rock and alternative. You can download MP3s from the website at www.projectnoise.co.uk and can also buy online if it 'gets you in the groove'. In case you are wondering, over the years Project Noise has been compared to Wire, Depeche Mode, Dome, U96, Moby, New Order, Chemical Brothers, KLF, Kraftwerk, and many others (although not all at once, I hasten to add). It was recently pointed out to me that this page was, to say the least, somewhat inaccurate, so here I am, after the a mere two years, updating this journal. (And if you think that's bad, I should perhaps point out that the last thing I edited for this site - Adelaide, Australia Driving Etiquette - is still pending after more than four years!)
Anyway, the previous post is still pretty accurate, bar the country of residence: I'm still alive, still kicking, but now living in the UK with my girlfriend. The scenery's far less spectacular, and the air less fresh, but I still have my nice office desk from Ikea, and there are considerably more options to purchase a Yorkie bar.
And now, I shall pop off once again for another ham croissant...

Not dead wood Jul 24, 2002
The Dancing Tree is still alive, and still kicking (and perhaps still dancing) but now in an entirely different country. I'm now living with my girlfriend in Iceland, with spectacular scenery, fresh air, good food, a nice office desk from Ikea, and an almost total lack of Yorkie bars.
Odd to think that it’s been over a year since I last wandered onto the site, something now prompted by my girlfriend registering here. However, it was nice to see that the site hadn’t been destroyed by Vogons (or strange people from Basingstoke) in my absence.
Maybe there’ll be more later, but until then, this is the Dancing Tree signing off. Again.
